"This conference has a two-fold purpose: to provide speakers, consumers and providers with opportunities to discuss (a) Peer Support Services-- what they are, what they can be, and how to prepare to provide them, and (b) options for Peer Specialist training programs in Virginia. As active participant involvement is essential, small discussion groups will be held each day. Discussion group reports and recommendations for Peer Support Services and Peer Specialist Training in Virginia will be drafted for submission to DMHMRSAS on the final day of the conference." These web pages are feedback and discussion in an electronic form to process and continue the effort started at the conference and before.
