Introduction/Definition/etc

An AldiCantFind2019

from way back,

Electric Pressure Cooker

model/

SKU? 93550

introduced around?: 09/2016

SomeOddNumber: 20035396

around the UPC

Intertek 4006257

designed and built before

AldiAmbiano9In1ProgrammablePressureCooker2019

the 9in1 is bigger 8Qt v 6Qt,

stainless steel pot,

controls on the main trunk

similar to a badge on bikes

wrapping around the tube in the middle

other models found quickly searhing

Aldi.US website warranty/ manuals are:

6 in 1

but electric,

not Crofton Pressure Cooker pot

(not electric heating elements, stovetop heating,

regular pot, but pressure)

which has some injuries, and other

problems published by others  elsewhere.

This one has the controls on a big protruding

bottom which faces up, angularly

The Electric Pressure Cooker has

Red LED controls

and Six buttons with

Mode

PreSets

+ Plus

Display

with lights around the 4x 8? segmented displays

- Minus

Keep Warm

Start/Stop

This is a light aluminum?

Teflon like dark inside nonstick

aluminum silvery shiny outside pot

with curled top edge

imprinted Fifths (2/5 3/5 4/5 and

Cups /  Quart? measuring scale

(litres too?)

alone one side

and rather dark to see,

similar to my BlackAndDeckerRiceCooker2019

yet to be written up,

but the oldest of my purchases

of these type devices

electric cooking things for food,

and before

BlackAndDeckerBreadMaker2019

picked up fairly recently at a thrift store...

Body

Original Text

As a tool/ method,

what it works on,

helps create are important too.

Starting with

Hard Boiled Eggs

Trying Six medium eggs

but wondering how much water,

using the steaming rack

so water fill to under that,

warm/cold filtered

and time a wonder too,

might have looked it up

ran it a couple times for

9 minutes or so,

there is a pressure regulator top

float thing that you turn to let out pressure

but careful not to burn yourself,

exhaust coming out away from you

and arrow and float all the way down,

weight of it may be a limiting factor,

possibly like a lid on the rice cooker

and some pots/ dutch Ovens2019

the seal also with water/ steam

but most have holes which would limit

but orient the vapour in a certain direction...

and a hole that when pressurized

prevents the lid from being

Getting the lid on is odd,

certain bent around parts

and matching with spaces on the

base, twisting goes further around

than i would think,

some arrows, and takes some practice

and probably better writing

(maybe read the instructions?

besides remembering to dishwash the pot

before first use, the legalese/ warnings

take the fun out of starting with a new device,

for me, i'm sure they are similar to the 9in1

and i read those a long time ago...)

No on button, switch display lights

red 4x Zeros when plugged in,

beeping starts each button press,

annoyingly

The display is weird,

as it animates

like the left two numbers to graphically

show something like boiling / steaming pot,

but not knowing, nor seeing,

in the manual, maybe a YouTube video

shows it in operation?

setting it is different,

Mode/Preset

based on food type

for n possibilities

then

+ Plus

- Minus

from the default for that

seems to work to add time

to a certain limit for whatever preset/

and modes may or may not support that,

though I've only tried a couple/ three by now...

Oatmeal

Regular not quick

Afterwards, the lid wasn't very clean

and I've not run the top thru the dishwasher

the 9in1

i might have taken it apart a bit,

and there are cleaning type instructions,

a silicone seal

(need to get a spare

times a running out,

supplies are limited

and since the model is

not on the Aldi.US website,

even with a QRCode to scan

for video on the paper manual,

which goes nowhere but a top

level world view and selecting US

doesn't help, so video pulled,

and i guess aged/ unsupported

but sold, warranty, etc may still be

good and finally have one...

though not the same and reusing the pot,

1000 Watts, only,

others are bigger and more volume,

so not linear i guess Watts

to Volume of pot (in quarts?

and/or metric?)

for even finding a manual

2016-7 range date, i'd have to look,

fact check, but need to remember to

mention

Dried Black Beans

One of the main reasons for trying pressure

cooking, besides geeky curiosity and hungry

which is a kinda spin off of

MetaBreadBooks2019

and

MungedMetaData2017

trying those now

guessing preset/mode

a Tenderize/Beans

combined preset

selecting that gives a P40

(Pressurized50 Mins?) time,

so bumped it up to 60 minutes

(the max for that preset)

and seeing what happens,

first time out, but early am

and may be going elsewhere

for a bit today, so trying to get

it done before going for the day,

i ended up eating the beans,

seemed softer than what i'd accomplished

previously with

Ambiano6Qt4In1MultiCooker2019

regular pots, and a small fraction of the time,

no presoaking/ quick soaking the beans either,

and no rinsing/ refreshing/flushing the water

Beeping/ on button presses,

while setting is annoying,

will see what alarm type stuff it uses to say it's

finished, don't recall it at all,

just clicking of solenoids,

relays type high power

and some giggling steam

type thing to get just warm enough

for steam...

likely temp ranges vary with pressure,

but that conversion, equations,

knowledge is to be built up,

if i can...

4x Upside down 6's when done

and goes in to Keep Warm mode

not sure the maximum time,

i think it's still cooking some,

and wonder ramp up and

cool off time factoring into how

long stuff takes, kinda like

preheating and prep

time, bake then cooling,

giving a more honest time frame,

instead of the just at full pressure

time(s)...

More to learn,

try reading the manual,

there were a few recipes,

not much that i cared for,

and have checked out a lot

of InstantPot type pressure cooking

books from the library, many specialized

GlutenFree,

Vegan,

Autism,

etc

so will see what recipes i can find

and add to MetaBreadBooks2019

links for finding interesting,

then what i have/ can easily get ingredients,

modifications to taste, and results

on trying them...

Insert somewhre above?

Chronologically?

Beans liquid poured out

near the end could not spoon out well,

so say last small bowl of beans

hidden in liquid,

spooning unproductive

and keep the liquid?

seemed dark like coffee,

but not slimey like residue left in cans

or slow cooker

so different byproducts

when pressurized cooking

v low temp, no pressure cooking?

Compare contrast refineries?

Modified Text

What's Missing?

electronic manual pdf from Aldi.US website

one Ambiano electric about that time

seems to go to Crofton manual instead,...

Previous to that, chronologically

says Crofton,and links duplicated?

one repeated, by mistake?

Maybe Ambiano's first release?

Got an original?

Antique?

(for some time systems, electronics

faster than 100 years like for furniture,

books, etc)

What Can Be Found?

finally have a pressure cooker

that does more than 2 minutes

of preheating and abort with an Error 1,

so will see what happens...

What Can Not Be Found?

supplies  like seal?

is it the same size as name brands

like InstantPot?

and where/ how much, how long

does it take to get one/a couple,

possibly saving shipping

How To Analyze?

Lenses

Noob

Very cheap entry price,

older technology, small cooker,

but a base to start from,

and smaller batches means

less waste and shorter cooking times?

(Despite 1000 Watt limit...?)

others are 1200 Watt...

Experienced

Probably got the wrong pot,

and have no clue as how to cook,

so good luck...

/SnobbishlyLiftsNoseInAir

GlutenFree

Wheat, is there anything else,

it seems in the Wheat dominated market,

but corn,

rice,

potato,

etc...

Vegetarian

Vegan

Garbage in/

Garbage out?

DisAbled

Not getting burned when tired,

etc

Cognitively (sp a->i),

better instructions

specific for disabilities

reading, DysLexia,

Scientific theory to hold the

countless data...

Cooking, absorbtion rates,

saturating,

with pressure, without

why, why not?

Young

High pressure and temps mean

dangerous for most,

so parental supervision,

likely just on site, probably needed,

not my decision, it's a parent/ guardians..

Poor

At $20 leftover/oddity find

the low end has a new

low price? besides the few

9in1s that were gone before

i got a chance for a working one...

Assumptions

Cooking with is better than without,

at least for me...

Some learning and experimenting

to be done, try my regular stuff,

Oatmeal

Rice

Beans

and stuff i know something of in regular

and/or MultiCooker first?

and see what else to try,

chicken?

baking bread?

didn't see any yogurt nor caning modes

like on the 9in1,

so bummed about that,

one thing i was hoping to try...

Time Limits

Number of running/ miles/ hours/

wash cycles

likely wear out seals

interest level,

seasonal as hot out,

and making more heat

in the cooker, but like

FixItAndForgetItBakingWithYourSlowCookerByPhyllisGood2019

separating from the main heat,

and likely less than a regular oven,

controlled

and stops itself,

kinda like a deadman's switch

for a train/ engineer/ driver dies

it brakes /stops automatically,

and

forgetful and cooking would usually mean

burning a lot of stuff, mostly food,

sometimes pot, and worst the residence,

but precautions taken, try while watching,

try while on site, say start and sleep

and x,y,z

Oven timer countdown set

if stepping out say for more water...

Less than 5-10 minutes

Like a slow cooker designed

to Set It and Forget It,

and run by its self...

Check LegalSleeze on it,

as not an apartment provided

appliance, so not their liability

and if a return/ defective, etc

They had slow cooker class(es)

and gave away those,

but brand and other GotCha$...

Conclusion

Summary of experience or similar

Good so far,

annoying about the pot compatibility,

different sizes and since other pot is

bigger, and not fit in this,

smaller to larger base unit,

but that base doesn't work,

for more than about 2 minutes preheating...

Learning modes/ times and settings

will be a while, but luckily had

already gotten out some books

on InstantPots and a couple

generic MultiCooker and other

stuff in titles, mostly not bread,

but might have some in there

somewhere, will have to look/

search for, later on...

Tofu burgers

and other interesting things

Boston Baked Beans

some other goodies

that i'm still rather hungry

after the whole beans package,

but added light Corn Syrup

and took a nap,

so will have to dishwash run

3 hours plus and more other things

to do, and get back to it...

Finally got something,
and learning about it,
with simple stuff,
first...

Eggs because have just that
and water...
Less cleanup/ mess,
complicated...

Discussion

A place for feedback on the page presented

What things do you like about cooking?

What recipes do you think might work on / in

one of these?

What limitations are there in using specialty

devices for cooking?

What of those who don't have the device?

Is it like i was for months trying to wait

to find one, searching in vain,

and then something, not exactly what i wanted,

but close enough/ satisficing?

Or only to be disappointed?
