AutScape2022 this year Hybrid,

part in person, part virtual,

perhaps like smaller more local

BlendedHyBridMeetings2021

or what, will see as it's the first

year for this org to try both,

helped to survive by online

during the pandemic,

see what type of roots it has,

or left out in hyperspace/

without a tether?

Booking aka Registration

 

So August 3rd

signed up for AutScape

using the PayPal

not the EFT method,

despite instructions otherwise  for foreign currency,

and it was much less hassle,

and 15 Pounds + 5 donation 

(10 Pounds and a booking fee) but had to select that to not donate

(change value to 0 (Zero)),

as problems with money

so about 15PoundsSterling?

went to $18 or so

and an international transaction fee 

of about $0.60? hit the bank, not bad,

given first try wasn't even really successful, afaict...

 

Second Con PayPal got it right,

through Ticket Tailor or similar booking site 

(registration/ signup/ etc in American)...

 

Community List

 

So some things going on,

on the AutScape lists,

but they are confidential, of sorts,

basically what is going to be online,

as very vague, and arguing over AGM

(Annual General Meeting)

there is a proxy form that went out,

and had to arrive by August 5th,

two days after i decided to register anyways,

and international mailings,

delivery time in the US isn't that fast,

so getting airmail/ international and 

all the stuff about addressing differently,

not ZipCodes, and whatever, so didn't,

might have been an email in the form,

but gives the vote to someone else,

and no one really to give it to 

but the board chair, or someone i know

would be there in person,

but don't know people that well,

coordination, busy with other things,

etc...

 

So some more questions,

and differences this year with HyBrid,

while i only signed up for Online part

of that hybrid.

I'd had bucket list things of traveling

by sailing across the Atlantic to the EU,

but those fell through, not surprisingly,

and mentioned in Prep2022 or similar...

Travel time for that is more than a month,

given prep and other things, passport, etc...

 

But recently got the packet,

online registration email back,

and some similarities with previous year(s),

that were Online only...

TeamUp is used for schedule,

DisCord which i'm not doing,

and Zoom,

which is a hassle in itself,

but used to it by now...

 

So other questions were

what all would be online,

besides Lectures,

which probably go up on YouTube 

after anyways,

HomeGroups? and got no response,

AGM which is probably streamed,

but not interactive,

so taxation without representation

(A DC License plate subtitle)

can they be presented remotely?

so full participation,

despite being remote,

instead of just token at best,

listen only and other problems

like the chat locked down,

which happens in some conferences,

with all/most Discussion on DisCord,

which i'm not doing 

as a time sink and

deleted about a week after the event,

so nothing to refer too...

Just trying to read it,

and keep up  is onerous,

to say the least,

drinking from a FireHose,

some call it,

and not that thirsty...

Nor that social...

 

So will see, too late to register now,

and not mentioned much recently,

some for privacy, and 

some just too busy,

live mic / better shut that off,

and they eventually do

much to some people's chagrin

say 10 times in a minute?

but try doing anything

and down it goes, so not hear of a response

and chat generally ignored

as a non favored channel,

as have to read

while listening to most,

and crafts, hands doing things

eyes needed for that, not reading as well,

much less other things,

handling crowds, in person,

etc...

but when and where,

and some other things would help remind

of how many OnSite calendar events?

and compare with online?

what's the difference?

which are what type?

why?

any auties on camera that didn't want to be?

and have to restart and rejoin from link

and the default is to turn on the camera
