Not sure why i'm doing this,
but another year of
AutismExPlainedTeachAbleCon2020 .
Some issues with it,
free to register and view,
which is good,
but limited time,
2 days only to view
the day's lectures/interviews,
and then disappears,
or can't get in, unless you pay,
so sort of a
CrippleWare
(sadly pun intended),
many disabled have extra time on tests,
exams, but this is
Pay to Play
for being disabled, and while they may
need to be paid, to do things like this
even with two sponsors HireUp
(NDIS? Australian health support system?
roughly a Peer Support/Aid network
at the national level? idk just guessing
never really defined, and like the UK
model nationalized health not without it's
problems as well, likely)
and something else,

some networking and software for
kids/teen, which isn't in USA
but hoping we will contribute
to it to make it international,
still a rather annoying
way to be...

what it means,
summed up, better by others?

Autism/autistics doesn't generalize
very well compared to other diagnoses.
Part of the diagnoses is that the people
are so different, think eccentricities
on steroids? Geeks, Freaks and Asbergers,
(sp? p or Burgers, burgers funnier)
a book title, but exponential growth
in oddity? not that all odd is bad,
but teens and others conformity
fitting in, etc seems more important
then, iirc. That duplicitous (sp?) fit
in or fail? Herding? Not for immunity
like PanDemic resistance, but
surviving mandatory institutionalization
known commonly as school,
compulsory (sp?) education...
A lot of the first video is on
diagnosis, labeling and limitations
of
the medical model
which they
seem to accept unquestioningly
as good and valid,
not any of the controversy/
drawbacks of paternalistic (sp?)
Doctor Knows Best,
not Patient/
so no real Survivors
(harmed by systemic "care")
just supposedly happy patients,
no ExPatients (basically
never again),
like with mental health,
which DSM 4 and 5 mentioned
some differences in Autism Spectrum
disorder,
Aspergers (sp? leaving it)
into the Spectrum,
social
and repetitive
limited interests
sensory profile

she tucks some into the other,
iirc)
One example she gave
is an adult oriented lunch
and the mother learns others
techniques for doing things
with their autistic kids,
ordered 5 glasses
and 3 water bottle(s)
and the kid was intent
on making / "decanting"
different perhaps like Towers of Hanoi,
i guess, he might have made sounds
like running damp finger over edge
making music / sound/ noise/
as some might
and could have played with a
smart device including a microphone,
check the frequency/ tone,
and adjusted accordingly,
and a set of musical instruments,
but maybe too young for that?
What situation/environment
is typically regulated to
crayons and drawing on
disposable/ takeable (sp?)

Most videos are 40 or so minute
interview/lecture,
starting to feel like the poor kid
at the restaurant table
being talked over and about
though only one of the two
are diagnosed, parents
of and teachers of,
carers, paid and/or volunteer
have perhaps the opposite
viewpoint of a difficulty/
burden, and how to support
instead of self supporting,
self amusing, and self
care, orientation typical
perhaps of a Peer based
approach...
So all rather dry stuff,
in an academic like lecture/
interview format,
only online interaction,
if you'd call it that,
is the comments/
supposedly praise you are
to put out, on the FaceBook
and daily video page(s)
to be entered to win
a coaching session with Paul,
and /or other perks...
Sensory Profiles
Another video, only partially watched,
iirc, was an athlete/ coach
on the spectrum,
who plays footie,
football/ rugby?
and fairly insensitive to pain,
SELF HARM ALERT for 50 seconds
a visual put up about it,
but not the usual cutting,
breaks bones/ dislocates/
pulls out a tooth?
so goes rough/ hard
while the soft pressure,
water drying/ getting wet,
like the kid in the first video,
fine in the water, getting there
and out, but the sensation in is ok,
while wearing jeans were
finally a part / short time success,
shorts, even in winter time,
and some other stuff, a high
energy swivel chair girl in a t shirt
athletic and touch, but talking
about sensitivities, and coping
with various things,
while at the same time one of the
view out on the spectrum perhaps
at that level of competition, afaict...
Crocs, a foot/shoe like product,
kind of plastic clog, mule,
slip on shoe
and other Australian terms
likely derived from English
so some translation like PBS
tries to do may be in order,
some may figure out later,
others may have to pause,
go look up, etc, or just let
it slide which isn't really an
Autie concept, afaict...
ID (Intellectual DisAbility) (& _Autism?)
put off by the speaker's glossy
photo and description,
later find he's not as arrogant
as the appearance makes him,
though some accomplishments,
trust, and buys himself an Mercedes,
while getting supports, volunteers
at the library, bullying boss there
got fired/ changed,

a disability social center, afaict,
from later conversation and
a lookup of link provided
in deception, and some other
stuff, i didn't look up, but took
a break from listening, viewing
and got back to finishing this video...
Seemed after a while what a carer
would be expected to interact with,
and given a HireUp sponsoring
organization, maybe built in training
viewing these videos like a case study
for care givers, thinking how you
would/ wouldn't support someone
with these characteristics,
but he doesn't get into getting upset,
while talking of sensory room,
more trophy case, but some other things,
afaict, living on his own,
owns the home, instead of group home,
left from deceased parents, afaict.
Traveled internationally to conference(s)
inspirational, but doesn't understand
some things, Easy language easy read,
and some help learning new things,
reminders, some home care,
checking on things, has pet(s),
livestock? gerbils/ chickens?
Not a bad life for a disabled person,
not the sweatshop typical of
ID/MR, but not in the big city,
some other supports in more rural/
suburban parts of NSW ( NewSouthWales?)

a bit off, describing a mental health
encounter that was reported,
attitude and trying to force
the phone, and walking/ standing
while likely progressive physical illness(es),
never really stated, but went to a liquid diet,
understated problems, masking
and on pain medication,
doesn't seem to be Fragile X,
where bones are brittle, but
wheel chair (an Aussie chair,
as from Australia,
not sure where she is...)
Stopped watching this part way
and got back to it as well...
Exclusion vs. Inclusion
she gave a very practical
example, which she states
better than i can remember,
so if you see the video
might recognize it when it happens,
anyways, more there than meets the eye,
as some might say, young and in charge,
but not too bossy about it,

like drug interactions, compounding
and potentially lethally, afaict.

might have been better
without it in the first place,
afaict,
i haven't had it,
but many others,
and still trying to get
rid of the effects of it,
them/ labels,
