So many NewYears items carry over

from last year

perhaps chronological to organize the details,

Not really religious,

so not meaning what it might

to those who are/where,

some say recovering catholics,

but not really part of that club,

 

An overflowing of purchases

and spending binge?

get into stores, some have year end money,

otehrs lists of stuff to buy for others,

i end up buying for myself,

since my parents are gone

and family is dwindling,

kids get older, find their own friends,

new kids, say from the hood, etc

want stuff, and any old guy will do,

white hair, a beard, a Northerner,

somehow it's gimme, be nice,

more like trick or treat,

some spreading their religion

on others, and trapped into trying to be nice,

when really more of a Jehova's Witness/

LDS, etc evangelist type thing,

somehow join the club, we have fun,

I'm more House, MD like and

wonder the harmful effects of the season,

and a belief system on fantasy

instead of more science, but science

is not a cure all either,

so Darwinian on to Dickens survivalist

type stuff, and Tiny Tim can't have x,y,z

poor me, pour me another drink some recovery people

might say, particularly 12Step, which is Spiritual,

not Religious, they say, but more fundamentalists,

and others i might not encounter, if i had not been

into that, for professional reasons, personal,

and somewhat Social, which as part Autistic,

not diagnosed, but some of it fits,

12Step stuff calls it FellowShip

about the same as Churches, upon which 12Step

stuff was born, the OxFordMovemnet,

and famous people touting Prohibition,

and the not getting into PublicContraversy,

a Tradition, perhaps LessonsLearned

Publiciy, and Marketing, Promotion is the term,

and Jack?AnderSon? wrote an article in say the NYTimes

or so, and they got flooded with inquires,

like open for business, but an All Voluntteer Organization,

(this from some various sources, Kurtz's Not God

likely part of it, a full book, not Official,

AA, nor any 12Step he was researching AA

perhaps for a dissertation, thesis, and/or make money

writing, not that anyone, many can, but it's out there,

and i bought one, recommended in CSAC training classes,

a series of say 10 classes, in Community College,

an odd mix of Religion/12Step and I felt

Spirituality, and Holidays dressed up as

non Religious, but Spiritual, and God,

meaningless, even in a college intensive

January term others could go to the warmer

places in the world, study, etc, like PeaceCorps

was their future, but asking for money,

when holding my dog, FreshMan year,

might have helped get thru college,

off the 17year plan, a Service Animal,

that one could take to class,

circles, wasn't what i'd call happy,

maybe partitally (sp?) because starting out,

born depressive? masking family alcoholism?

neglect is more fitting, my eye sight as a child,

storie(s) (sp?) of getting my first pair of glasses

and what are those things, telephone/ power wires

between poles, and the world doesn't make much

sense if you think about it much at all,

not knowing what those dead sticks are pointing up,

and frequendly, not seting they connect something,

then the concept of electricity, static electricity

the easiest to show, VanDerGraph? generators,

ahd hair standing on end, holding a globe,

now a days, destroy your electronics, back then,

a watch, etc, zapping people,

buzzers and sick clown type woopie cushions

hand buzzers tricking people,

9Volt batteries, and put that under your pillow,

listen at night, to say AM Radio,

FM coming out stereo a kewl thing,

not yet into HeathKit, had to leave home,

leave a job, and wonder what i had missed

out on in Labs, soldering v. BreadBoarding,

some MakerType/ Fab and engineering,

some interesting, a lot of the beginner classes,

and washed out, a girlfriend more interesting

equipment, parts, other parts, nasty,

so not much there to look kindly back on,

Dumped basically when came up to Coop,

but not planned, at least by me,

look ahead helps some,

Coop when applying seems to make sense,

only have money from Dad for 2 years,

given he would have paid for state school(s)

for 4, but if going private, more expensive,

perhaps 2x the cost, and get away, my way of leaving

what i felt wasn't getting me anywhere,

but later, after

grateful for having employment,

say $1k for a computer back then

was a new car, not foreign,

German, Audi, VW, Porsche,

Mercedes, BMW, etc, but

GM, etc, not something i had

done, even home mechanics,

some have garages and become car nuts,

later / before Moto Nuts,

but no garage, no tools, really,

a DarkRoom in  a closet,

and Cameras, not yet
