Introduction/Definition/etc
An annual event along Georgia Avenue in North West Washington,
from Petworth to Howard University, full of music and further
down, food, booths, etc. Lots of people, parade style,
with huge audio systems pulled by tractor trailers
generators and followed by people dancing,
usually in costume/ traditional dress, and some
pulling huge trains of decorations...

Body
First one of these, so loud that kids needed to be inside glassed
doors to lower the sound to something comfortable.
Didn't catch all of the event, just some floats going by,
the end, and a few things around there. Later biked through
Georgia Avenue to Howard University area, and still people
all over the streets. Nice to take over the streets and
Carribean music is so happy and upbeat that it's hard
not to be uplifted, in spirit, if not in motion...
