Body

College Consumer MH Resources?

With the 32 losses at VT, ActiveMinds.org , while focused more on suicide awareness and support networks, may be a positive influence to young people on campus to consider for bringing balanced MH awareness to your local campuses (possibly as students, parents and/or alumni?) after an appropriate mourning time. Like the Michael Kennedy shootings about a year ago, and subsequent racial profiling following 9/11 terrorist attacks, violence and the resulting grief may increase stigma for a time but community based education will become increasingly important to reduce increased victimization.

While it probably goes without saying, please support each other during these times as well...

Addendum: VOCAL Network reported out this resource (edited slightly from the emailed version to consumer lists) in it's newsletter and it was noticed on the ncmhcso.org website which RRWG member/consumer directed process lead Lauren S now directs... Don't get me started on not even getting an interview for what Jerry feels he's been acting as aka Coordinator but that conflict goes back to first talking about mid county OPFC /pre CWC efforts, Our Journey Experiences, cell phone button slights, RRWG meeting projector noise complaints and other issues with HerArrogance (rivaled, of course, only by my own)...

Getting a little catty above...

Conclusion
