DragonCity2016

Introduction/Definition/etc

More AdColony, get around to try another game/ type of play, the mating dragons trailer seem like it might be a preteen girl type targeting...

Body

About 6 floating in space without a dome type geodes are cut open like a soft boiled egg, topped off, or strip mining mountains, but atmosphere is assumed...

I should describe the game before crit...

You are in charge of the dragons, feeding them housing them, making habitats for them, and collecting their waste/ which happens to be precious, gold...  Oh, look a diaper, how cute...

But stereotypical male attitudes are represented too, you don't just nest, you clear fields, before you can buy the land, 50 shrub, tree for 500 and up, up to rocks cheap and boulders for 5k+, some you just leave there...

Levels exist, you get stuff, and there is a coach type goal system for recommending and logging achievements which go back to Google Play scoreboards, like feed dragons to level 4, then rewards for 10, many in the same family, different collect baseball playing cards/ collect all available type marketing...  They are cute, some of them, absolutely ugly, intentionally, with different habitat types, fire, dragons breath fire, traditionally, but they are also ice queens/ kings, and have magical powers besides living in space without air, flying, coughing up mud (gross, purging, really), and other characteristics you would need to be a dragon geek to fully appreciate...

The repetitive stress loop seems to be they don't eat, you feed the babies and if they get old enough, say level 4, can start to mate, with a love icon, you do selective breeding like a zoo, you can buy and sell eggs, like bird eggs with special colours, more like decorated Easter Eggs, they need a habitat, some breed almost instantaneously, others take hours, probably up to days, more like Autism in Love (really Autism is the character / subject that is in Love? or PeopleWithXXXNNNYYY)...

So real time clocks exist on many things, they create gold, like waste, you have to collect it, reap the benefits of them, or they are lost, to the bit bucket, so to speak, not collected is not collected...

Farms are needed to create the food, and money is required to build/ make the farms, and then reinvest in the farm each crop cycle, from 5 minutes, say, to 6 hours for higher capacity/ yield industrial type farms...

Each baby needs food, same food as everyone else, just smaller doses, say increments of 5, for 4 times, have to have enough to get to the next level, the cuteness of the avatar type thing diminishes, but they get old enough to mate, say at 4, and fighting at higher levels (yeah, brothers probably get into the game too...)  and you announce your winnings socially, probably related to the company name socialpoint (not good with names, it's at boot up the game, and I can't pause it, nor screen shot it quickly, stills or video capture might be copyright/ legal issues, so suffer through my text description of it, for now...), so mentally picture kids, of facebook or tweeting/ texting age, comparing levels online, how to get past some dragon/ challenge of the game, in logic, or socially, used to be cheat sheets/ guide books you purchased from say a comic bookstore?

Conclusion

Summary of experience or similar

Not sure What I Think of It, yet...

Some Cute little creatures, inventive artwork (forgot to mention creative artists in the job prospects of gamers in previous posts like 8PoolByMiniCom2016 and following) but a pain to take care of, like the electronic pets of decades ago, some Dinosaurs, albeit Purple Hatted ones, might remember...

The Coliseum (Roman and Athens?) is where the real games take place, kind of like Coligula, but without the mating/ sex, just the under age level (PG or PG13?) action, select fighter/ offensive move, turn by turn violence?

Cross breeding and designer dragons exist, as various types, nature, electric, ice, mechanic?  space, and other esoteric types exist, so combining (read Object Oriented Flavors or Ben & Jerry's type mixins...) 2-3+ more characteristics might help make it more like a RPG (Role Playing Game) style fantasty, not that far off my very limited understanding of MagicTheGathering, but online, with money options to buy stuff, purple stones (gemstone like engagement, wedding and pledge rings? idk), which provide magic, available as possibly optional purchases, for a fee...  Does buying in, create the win?  Give monetary incentive to the game designers, server hosts, and marketing people?  Or required to win, like Casinos and other more offensive and sinister corporate gambling?

Harmless fun, but maybe not for some literal people who get attached to the little critters, (read attachment disorder(s)), they take leaves of absences from their habitats to go watch/ build a tower, or fight, but they are not free roam/ range type dragons walking/ flying along the street, say in an abandoned zoo?  (Nor Key West, Florida chickens...) Release them, to wander in space and find other zoo keepers to care for them, permanently in stasis, until someone makes them eat more, never getting older, just bigger, and eventually dying off or the infamous Internet Singularity and live on forever, in never never land, fantasy world, like childhood crushes?

Discussion

A place for feedback on the page presented

Having never been a teen age girl, nor a girl at all, I Don't Have a Clue, and probably never will, but doesn't stop me from giving my on solicited opinion...

Is this the new Chia Pet?

The non flushable/ marine honours gold fish?

Electronics games have progressed from plug into the T.V. attachments like Atari cartridge Pong, on up through these type games (on much better hardware, btw) and I'm just playing catchup, something old geeks tend to do, though not a gamer geek, I tend to think it is a waste of time, unless you end up designing and writing your own game(s)...
