Games are kind of a wave for me,

interesting for a while,

and on to something else,

some stick around, for longer,

likely meditative, like mahjongg,

solitaire, etc,

So the wave has been, on smart phones

roughly

 

Angry Birds

 

Wanted to know what the fuss was about,

projectiles, birds mad at pigs

for stealing eggs,

and kids identifying with capitalist,

ageism, and over consumption,

or really just the cute graphics...

 

Candy Crush

 

Family of games of the matching

type, these explode,

so age restriction(s),

maybe even stereotypical stuff,

but dentists, diabetics

and others are already

familiar some of those risks...

 

8BallPool / Billiards

Still gambling, and they still think

it's for E: EveryOne...

 

Things mysteriously stop working,

and you lose the game,

i wouldn't bet much,

and getting money back out of it,

not likely, just bragging rights,

afaict...

Levels 40-50, is high, but 100+ is the

big spenders...

Mostly they:

pay money to play,

quit before being gentleman/women

and take the loss affecting their stats,

other problems exist,

but you might have to experience it,

to really learn,

the hard way...

It's on an older machine,

I go back once in a while,

and see how bad it was...

Yeah, get to level 40-50,

lots of ads, it's a waste...

anything like what real chefs

probably do...

Took a newer device to run it reliably,

and having to play it back up to

levels of 40-50 was a big waste of time,

as they didn't support GPlay history

and starting back up where you left

off, on previous device...

yeah, name conflict with a

Canfield type solitaire card game

 

 

Maybe realistic with waiting for my big break

to have a bakery to make glue,

while my chickens & cows die

and turn into appeasing candy...

Game playing is harmless

You are not a gambler,

as in Gambler's Anonymous

betting your knee caps on

anything that moves,

and some that don't

(read you z...)...

 

Carpel Tunnel aka repetitive stress

injuries from boring games, played

badly, and not allowed to be automated,

is a waste of time...

 

Time Limits

 

Waiting for a bus,

waiting to be mugged,

raped, detained, deported,

vapourized (sp?) etc, in the next big thing,

aka High School, College, likely Community,

and other institutions of higher idiocy,

whatever, shut up and play the game...

Summary of experience or similar

 

Yep, a waste of time, but like Boob Tube

of my generation, video games came out,

became portable and  cheap, kind of like

crack, crackberries, and other devices,

so weeding out the herd with people walking

and playing, and in traffic, and they think

we are going to stop them?
