i basically collapse on a hill

returning in the mid day sun and heat,

having heard an ambulance

going nearby, next was going

by the Tennis Courts parking lot,

(which seem closed).

took photos of the SalArmy

on Glebe (high traffic

moving company truck there

second day, refridgerated (sp?)

apparently) but lost paper mask

(reused a lot,

but annoying

and only part of the problems

of the day...)

 

Many Latino? woman there,

mowing the baseball field

the PortaPottie / chemical toilet

was gone and needed to pee

but the building probably

wouldn't let me in,

i can't keep

up with the available and not,

cars were the only option

from what is seemed,

the parking lot blocked off,

some county pickup trucks

and traffic cones,

though a Mercedes made

it through, and into handicapped

then didn't want to be photographed,

while burning in the mid day sun

as a rather pale person who hasn't

been out that much and mostly

by eBike but problems with pedals

or something ZipTie (tm elsewhere)

the brake cable but this more serious

so few options for going to get,

 

Bringing a cart might have helped

but if can't take on the bus,

doesn't help if fall back,

instead of fall down,

possibly dying?

Someone mentioned they

are refrigerated, and to just eat

so did, further up the big hill

on someone's fence like laddered

barrier, looked abandoned,

(natural gardeners, locked in),

but trash day too...

Cars had gone by, up the hill

easy and some checking on the

guy rolling around on the

sidewalk, most probably not

wanting to bother,

a cab went by

but worse than buses,

costly for a free box

while cars idling in the heat

not sure running A/C

and having a cage box around

is that (morally ozone/ green

almost Amish) great,

and if can afford that,

really need (deserving poor?)

a box of food,

though most assume otherwise,

the people running it may

be concerned with the

nouveaux (sp?) poor,

due to PanDemic,

the usual suspects,

not so much...

 

Mostly White volunteers

seen young people

with AmeriCorps t shirts,

on several handling cars,

in the parking lot, on the other (far)

side from where the pedestrian line

formed, putting them in spaces,

and then problems with people jumping

ahead, walking between walked

faster than others

some would have gone to the light

suggesting further up, mid way,

and traffic stopped, police directing

like for ConVid19WalkInTesting2020

unmasked an African American

(presumably)

at that moment

but traffic mid day heat,

exceptions to breathe as cars whizzing

driving by windows up and noticed

people were talking through the

passenger side window,

likely some not rolling down easily

and might not be automagic

electrical, my first car didn't do

that well, and learning about

cranks, arms, window opening

mechanisms...

 

A couple of older guys

checked on me,

only likely getting exercise

and other probably lived there

and went out the front door,

at the direction of his wife?

(guess, we can't have people

collapse on our sidewalk,

no offers of cold water,

 ice anything, but unfiltered

likely cause problems too, etc)

comments about ants,

near the drain,

felt like upside down

as hill and head below parts

and then going to vomit,

wondered about the box,

not looked in, taken from the back

of the pallet, looked like a FireFighter

woman handing out the box,

i let a couple women walking there ahead

but another straggling i was more

in the way waiting, quick give

#1 (single) asked how many in my

household/family, i said just me,

to the kid (i remember having long hair,

non gray), who might have said

had to read me, finally met me,

i tried to ignore, and going

incognito difficult as the way i look

(+ rumors of my death are greatly

exaggerated , Mark Twain

and likely others)

and about the only White pedestrian,

many Latino, a few African Americans

one came up without a mask, then

notice a black mask,

(i pulled out the brown one

from Bill's Hardware in North

Arlington, almost not worth it,

$8for zipties, 2 bandana (i thought

i had bought one, and a nail clipper,

have toenail stronger, bigger,

no, we don't like you upperclass

redneck like stalking/ harassing

that odd guy with eBike, wants to

muck with that, pink bunny ears,

playground like bullying -> get him!)

some Asian...

the second African Amercan

man started smoking on the bench

the one woman throwing a tennis

ball might have agreed to stop doing

that if he stopped smoking

illegal in the park anyways,

down wind and inconsiderate,

smoking habits generally go with that,

afaict as a non smoker, my dad did,

but had a heart attack,

+pacemaker (by my age?)

and defibrillator, eventually

Heart Failure at around 73)

joggers around the loop,

some attractive (to me),

others sweaty guys,

doing multiple loops

maybe while kids playing basketball?

or a class? or something in the other

fenced area(s) and soccer on a

AstroTurfed (trademark elsewhere)

lighted field(s) and ball courts...

 

So with produce i usually give some back,

lettuce has been spoiling

so taking more doesn't make sense,

Romaine (lettuce/greens type)

i just don't like, bitter and unless with

Caesar salad dressing, doesn't taste

good to me,

 

Special folding top box says something

on the bottom (4x5?),

didn't open til up most of the hill

and in shade, seated on someone's

bench like earth stopping boundary/

terraced like (noticed a hole next to

me and little chipmunk or something

scaredie (sp?) cat/ hiding?)

and a snack bag,

i packed out the pits from two nectarines,

cold one with a peel label,

unweighed, (emergency?)

i'm guess average of the other one

told a couple of people about it

(free produce show id, TJs, SalArmy)

further, and one begging woman

Pesos? No

while she's drinking a can of something,

alcohol? feeling loitering,

a bigger kid size bike left

from the trail, maybe stolen

and dumped in stream

seemingly far from the nice

single family home had to cross

to get a necessity, to many...

 

Back into home left on A/C

I had skipped breakfast again

to get going, eating oatmeal,

both warm and the liquid to go with it

and have to pee,

and knowing few options even in stores,

if have to be a customer, nothing

really friendly that way,

drink a canned soda (high fructose

corn syrup = ~180 calories/ can)

cheap Aldi ($2.15 / 12 pack) stuff,

(and haven't seen the same brand

in root beer in ages, pre pandemic?)

but carrying water

for drinking anyways can't get

~$50 filtering

things installed/ fixed (in compatible

with spray type removable?

need to send for an extra long adapter?),

but staying in, the safer at home

is having damaging effects,

not getting the exercise...

i have during winter/ colder months

doing it early in summer/ warm times

but not cooperating nor

reasonable to me, i guess mainstream

car driving/mass transit

politicians/ do gooders

and law enforcement?

thinking blocking traffic

after rush hour and then have

to wear masks,

year/season so another false

with a camera in my facetrying to avoid

i told the one woman standing by cars

likely volunteering, and had to put my

hand over my face, he wanted to

get one of the only few whites

on camera, someone

(likely protective) it just makes

me more of a target...

 

And then wondering about poison

boxes sprayed with something,

the contact with the  box, carrying

others wearing gloves

and pesticides, sprayed lawns

etc might have contributed to it,

others might not react,

but sensitive to it, and putting down

no fan/ air moving in the

stopping walking lose that self

generated wind overheat like a

 car/ something at stops,

on bikes i say my A/C Breaks

every time i Stop, hence don't want to,

besides standing out in (in attentive

texting? yeillng at kids in the  back seat,

etc) traffic....

 

Greens, not sure what kind,

Swiss Chard? Bok Choy, idk

Collard?

Tomatoes, some small,

 worried would squish and spill

out the box, conmercial stuff

seems to make sense

moving company, refrigerated

truck, two day event, already over

for this week/ month,

idk, they might try it again

i've have problems again

with heaet and walking,

nothing realy working,

beater bike worn out,

redistribute into back packs

some of which i can't seem to
