GoogleEar2014
Introduction/Definition/etc
Google Glass is an intrusive technology,
as would be Google Ear, the one for people who don't want to be seen....
Body
Possible uses for accessibility:
deaf / hard of hearing:
run sounds through translate and get visuals/ transcript
"hearing" i.e. seeing sounds for old tv programs that aren't closed captioned
ADDADHD:
catching up on the events in class room lecture or presentation/ conference hall
as you were spinning around the lobby/ rest room/ corner/ quiet room
autism spectrum:
guessing what others are hearing while you are stimming
monitoring:
keeping up with the family "pets"/ critteres while you are out and about having fun
Conclusion
Summary of experience or similar
No Google, you don't own the idear, but probably not the first to think of it,
as we don't generally like having cameras stuck in our faces (not a challenge,
a right to privacy...)
Like cell phone free zones, getting away from intrusive technology may take laws
enacted in the upcoming legislative era ( pun intended )...
