So Pi day, previously fun for RaspBerryPi

credit card size but not height computers,

based on ARM chips, the same or similar

as SmartPhones, but with pins and headers

basically connections to add stuff to the device,

electronically, and

Free Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS)

so it's Hackable, and other generally good stuff...

 

But there's a new one, and i don't have it,

been to the one main store that has those things,

they were low on large memory ones originally,

and then months later, still don't have it,

money issues in buying, when other priorities

like paying bills, transit, extra supplies costs,

etc...

 

And for the social scene which wasn't that great

even before CONVID-19,

 

I reported TimeForAChange2020

before most of the CONVID-19

stuff and it was basically ignored,

according to notes from the Board Meeting,

Annie's left Ace, so some other Owner(s),

and still awaiting some part(s) for getting

back on the road pedaling, but got a little

more life off of the other braking system,

and may be a similar broken rim problem,

as rubbing on the back rim brake,

front is a disc and needs pad(s),

some knowledge, and experience in working

with disc brakes (my first)

bought the $40 two used calipers with pad(s)

but not mucked with them, they are road,

maybe something to add rear disc to the new

wheel i would have to build to use the Gary Fisher

Mountain bike, but might not be compatible,

got scolded for asking about a compatibility

database/ book, available online, but i said interest,

got no response, and asked and then

a very disappointing day, told i shouldn't have even

asked, the seller didn't respond to my email to the list,

another person asked about it,

and then i'm bashed for asking,

say 1000 people on that list,

don't really care about a for sale old manual(s),

but no real say of settling it

i was trying to budget for shipping amongst low fund

said i was interested, but got no response,

weeks later asked if still available, and got chided,

went to someone else, in the meantime,

after the other person asked about it,

so outbid, easily i guess...

Not the first negative reaction on that list,

and wanted to UnSub but it's a FrameBuilding

for bikes, and part of what i went through a couple

ears for welding classes, and got a paper cert...

turns out it's brazing more than welding,

but close as i could get around here,

and relatively cheap (few $k

at community college for 7 classes?)

until the crash stuff....

 

 

Anyways, another technical group,

i find out after the fact,

claimed it was inappropriate,

the list mod, who took over

decided not to allow opposing to his

views and well, outside the normal

get to even oppose, not the democracy,

contractors, some retired, hobbyists,

after one organizer left, a few stepped up,

mostly corporate, RedHat,

based, and corp interest took over further,

imnsho...

while a similar group was more transit friendly,

and i did more service there,

trying to keep it going,

usually floating idears to the list of talks,

and donated hardware, software (mostly free),

and connectivity, servers running, etc,

so .EDU version basically learning free,

about freedom, for FLOSS

but that went under, the one group

most went to Hack HardWare

Aldi shelves were bare at 4-5 stores,

earlier in the day saw some paper towels,

but had $0.37 canned vegetables to get

went back out later in the day

having walked 20 miles earlier in the week,

bailing to a bus, with bamboo found

when 500 was too low,

the surface area of the other smaller one,

was trouble getting plates/ containers on

it, but fits in a pocket, so really easy to carry

around, and takes regular AAA batteries

instead of coin...

 

But i digress, less food as not getting donated
