So annual type stuff,

presented, if that's the right term,

a Lightning Talk at the end of

a technical conference,

been going for decade+

and close by, seems like giving back,

but contentious, difficult and hierarchical

experts, when really still a WebNewBe (sp? ie?)

as all sorts of other things while waiting for

Perl6, and learned through support email list(s)

that they've renumbered and Perl7

has branched, plus some other issues...

 

Social distancing got the regional type event,

a workshop, and the yearly national/continental?

went online, the workshop didn't have it together

and early in the JustSayNoToConVid2020

timeline that it was cancelled instead,

which i have some bad feelings about,

but others do the work/ effort on it

and got to decide, without much input/

counter/ my $0.02 (- inflation = Zero?),

PeaNut Gallery/

outfield bleachers harassment

of the playing field, sort of stuff...

to mix metaphors/ similies/

smiles)

(++ everyone has opinions like

AssHoles, well some exceptions,

surgically removed, born without,

them, don't care, mine matter,

And also some outfield chatter,

to use the Little League baseball

type analogy, you're geeky

and uncoordinated non jock,

generally in the outfield

where things don't happen that often,

if the better/ more experienced/

historically privileged players

do it well, then nothing goes out there,

strike 1,2,3, and out,

and no fly ball out into left/ right/ center,

and no  waking to go running

to miss/ catch/ throw back in if it drops,

bounces, etc, to get the opposing player

who actually got it connected,

bat to ball, and went within bounds,

not a foul ball...

 

Like other sports, Spring Training,

and the timeline was similar,

getting ready/ prep for the Regionals

was about the time JustSayNoToConVid2020

started, and uncertainty, FUD, etc

probably prevented going online earlier,

i've guessed it's year+ and politicians

and others gave a soft lie that

it was only temporary, while likely

doing opposite in their person finances,

but i DiGress into Politics,

which i might get back to,

stranger things have happened,

online here, and in the world, in general...

 

So boring you with opinions

and bore you with facts,

in the meantime you may think

you are being punished for listening,

and that might be close to abuse,

but many might consider listening,

or not, to lecture/ presentation

v. workshop, participatory stuff

beginners instead of touting your

superiority basically accessible

stuff for EveryOne,

other languages are much more approachable,

but for some possibly technically masochistic reasons,

going into a club where likely not accepted

therefore pushing carts of paper,

mail, forcing paperwork through,

walking it, to get it done,

and other analogies...

 

Force Add for college is one example,

and colleges might open up, some,

but XenoPhobic and the International Students

may have been  booted, as don't have to be

in country, to attend OnLine classes,

therefore possibly opposing outside opinions

aren't even possible much less heard,

respected, acted upon, logged, etc...

 

And so many issues with some of that

exclusion, not good enough,
