Introduction/Definition/etc

Lidl sells, this weekend special

(while supplies last)

ParkSide (a house hardware/ tools brand)

Folding (collapses some

like a foot at the ankle and toes pop out

foot gets longer, not immediately apparent)

Aluminum platform (expanding rails)

other parts like wheels are plastic and likely steel

for about $30.

Body

Original Text

A little like buying the

AldiGardenLineGardenUtilityCart2019

but smaller, lighter, and less expansive,

(expensive (cost$) but expansive (Size)

fits too)

but doesn't take as much weight/(pay)load,

i think that one is 500lbs,

this 330 lb (100? kilograms),

and collapses a lot smaller,

whether it works folded up,

like a Dolly

with a handle you aren't using,

idk yet...

only two of the wheels swivel,

and lock, the back ones,

the front only go forward,

(or backward) a lot of basic dollies

all wheels swivel...

(Aldi has a dolly on sale,

no frills, non skit top, $20)

Plastic wheels in a steel fork

(analogy to bicycle front fork)

SomeAssemblyRequired

While they give you a couple

tools, stamped (think cookie cutter

in sheet metal) few inch wrench

(thin and short)

therefore little torque/leverage

and a socket like thing

with a hex socket for the nut,

and sliding nail like T handle,

plus it's an extender (long trunk),

required for getting

in the rails,

while booklet/manual says

qualified people to assemble,

not very specific,

your average/sterotypical female

secretary (now called assistant?)

who may want one

but likely give to another

department/boyfriend,

tech support,

local shipping guy(s)/ gal(s)

who use hand trucks

to assemble for them,

like an Xmas bike and

other things,

reminded of washing machine,

dishwasher, other domestic appliances,

or a Father's day tie, weed whacker,

etc might be too do this for me/

honeydo list, and less of a romantic/

shows you care gift...

I went all the way out to Sterling,

a new Lidl store for me

to get one, while the local stores

may have had some,

closest i was recently overcharged again,

a set of green onions,

added to my bill/ at checkout

(like you stink, or something),

left on the conveyor belt

when a new line opened

early in the day,

one of the first customers,

(0800a opening,

seasonal commuting,

still warm out

so doing early times,

later in cold/snow

maybe later times?)

then the problem manager

(MoreAutreat2011PostProcessing

or LidlHaulByHandCartTruck2021 ?

Precious again?)

complains: "it would be you",

or similar, and blocks the exit,

with another staffer, and likely

fork lift, sometimes stocking the front,

entranceway, one time a bulk toilet paper

accident, some spilling out, but i needed

paper towels instead and hands full already,

like got a match when about to drop/

juggling enough already, sort it out

outside where don't have to wear a mask)

so problem stores, and Sterling

may be one also judging/guessing from

gMaps2019

reviews of it,

i guess like a WalMart/Target type job

doesn't enthrall your average

millennial (sp?)

so taking it out on customers,

disabled, old, white,

any difference from

suburban norms/mores

actually,

all targeted, it seems,

even teen girls with a dad seemed

to get a kick in on the way out

getting even for

SubUrbanMade2015

or something,

and likely 'have to read you'

type problems too...

Anyways, 25 miles back,

construction on Route 7,

asking directions, even that

NeighborhoodWatch around

Reston Ave, helpful, parallels

Reston ParkWay, narrower,

have sidewalk paths,

found an IreLand tour book

at a LittleFreeLibrary,

and dumps out at a T stop

on Whielie (sp?) (irony?)...

Skipped taking rail back,

homage to RoutesOfChange,

(non motor), and down hill right?

KGMRAlt2019

Namaste2018

(between EmailListRoadKill2018

3DPrinter2012

going on a decade of commuting

but not done since PanDemic started)

and/or

LemonAde stand on a big hill

helpful passing skinny tire

no cargo biker: "might need to speed up

to make it up the hill",

BlackThorn? (close: BuckThorn(e?))

and passed by the stand,

curious, but kept going,

stop later on, had bought a little

food for the trip, as skipped breakfast

and would need to use a bathroom,

so bought cheap strawberry kiwi

juice, (mostly high fructose corn syrup,

apple juice, flavored with strawberry

and kiwi), cheaper than lemonade

at $1.35 or so and more volume/quantity

and maybe ecofriendly container,

less plastic...

and the NeighborHoodWatch mom,

dealing with kids who didn't go out

for a walk suggested that insulated backpack

worn (warn fits too, warn of problems,

so wear another way) on the front,

as secondary (front pack),

could put on handlebars,

with bar ends, better for cooling

which was becoming

more of a problem mid day,

10a-1400p peak burning time,

Route 7 car exhaust, noise, other irritants,

getting to be SaturDay afternoon,

OctoberFest on the way out

was  blocking the W&OD park trail,

forcing people off their bikes,

for crossing their closed street,

i guess trying to get/ jack

participation in their fair/ commerce,

and drinking site, near the history

FreeMan (not race but Jewish like name?)

museum/oldest store, but no go,

poor moi...

SomeAssemblyReQuired Continued

So 16 screws,

bolts actually

and nuts,

bolts, washers and nuts already

installed on one set, without the wheels,

near the latched (pull/push? bar) hinge,

4 bolts per rolling wheel attachment,

but 8 bolts already on and washers

"to keep from damaging in transit" or similar,

and i lost one of the sleeves/ spacers?

noticing the rails are wide but not

closed on one side,

so would they expand

under stress/ compression?

and front wheels into those

softer aluminum rails/channels

and wonder besides the annoying

assembly required if there are better

design options, DIY/DeStructAbles

buying piecemeal the parts,

more cost effective by

economies of scale to get this,

but how to enhance it?

for replacing the dolly like wheels

bolting on yourself seems to make sense,

but other things

like fixed front wheels

a cross between dolly, hand truck & shopping cart

(remember

LeaveMeAlone2021

NF was in MerriWeather

Friday?/ or Saturday?,

and i missed it, had noticed

from tickets on YouTube sales

given he seem to lip sync

his concerts, according to some

and not quite Vanilla Ice,

guess i didn't miss much,

and short on funds anyways,

plus transportation,

NorthByNorthEast2018

but where to leave stuff/

bring this as my own cart?

how to get stuff in?

safe bike/cart/truck

parking/ storage)

some NoGoodDeedGoesUnPunished2021

related sites seemed to want to give me tickets,

others wanted me to buy tickets

then we go, (for unknown values of We,

of which We = Me, not You, most cases,

hence LeaveMeAlone2021)

but not sure i'd want

to be around those, and some

may have tried to give me tickets,

but likely some hood rat(s) got

them instead...

Seems to be part of the ecoSystem

built up around me, someone

tries doing a nice thing and

predatory others

benefit instead,

ToWhomItMayConcern2020

etc)

FireDrill

no sirens, and end, perhaps.

of the building inspection process

so other problems,

some say i passed,

others (haters?:) how did that pass,

and harassment by fire and

staff: "you have to leave the building",

not sure why

the alarm had already stopped,

i took a shower,

as had been in for 4 days,

and needed one, while deciding

listening for sirens,

fake alarms, deserve fake

responses right?

especially when they then

say "let's go check what he's hiding"

and someone retorts:

"we've seen worse", and

"it won't be admissible",

while nasty staff, stalking,

jumping the gate, trying to get in

and pretending to live there

rats/ crabs trying to climb

to the top, menacing staff,

don't even deposit your rent

check on time, then likely claim

you didn't pay or late, or

credit wrong to other people,

etc... Menacing jump out

of the staff bathroom,

when forced to use another

entrance, by locking some entrances,

only to be harassed

that way too, blocking another,

and disabling one,

while locking exits, fire exits,

likely a HayMarket like fire

disaster waiting to happen,

(iirc, a warehouse/ sweatshop

where locked exits led to the

deaths of many slave like workers,

one of the reasons we got

limited hours work week,

around May Day rebellion,

iirc, check facts?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangle_Shirtwaist_Factory_fire

1911 GreenWich NYC

predates? HayMarket bomb anarchist

rebellion one made a 52hour work week

less child labor, and start safety

OSHA type work place,

the next down to 40 hour work week,

seen in a PBS type documentary

likely together, just the order of them

transposed, afaict)

Sure open up illegally locked doors

for fire drills,

but in the case of a real

emergency or anything

other than fake safety

then make a show for

the abusive fire people too?

while trying to discredit whistleblowers?

SomeAssemblyRemember?

Anyways, will see, if i find

the sleeve part,

fell amongst stuff,

and try to replace some parts,

find parts, like the

MoreOrLessLidl2021

Trekking Pole

taking parts in to a real hardware store

to get a good match,

means disassembling and not using,

a cheap part if they have an exact match,

inner diameter, length, thickness, etc

HarborFrieght

HarborFreightToolsBxRdsOpen2020

is not a real hardware store, btw,

only kits of parts, but

not specified/ little likelihood

of sleeves/ spacers

Lidl a while back had

ParkSide extra bolts, nuts, washers

in clear compartmental cases,

wonder if have that size/ part?

didn't for the specialized trekking pole

missing parts,

and such a hassle for the return,

possibly better than folding/

collapsable luggage racks, will see,

heavier, and will take heavier loads,

but with today's pandemic/viral

cleaning/ etc

plastic wheels, spraying those

(alcohol based solvents

likely bad on plastics)

or let sit for 4+ days,

to self sterilization?

Mass/ large UV locker?

and works if not unfolded?

cheaper dollies, might exist,

2x4s in a frame, wheels

attached, and what to get underneath,

my usual trick of inner tubes

making better/longer handles,

extending too short?

(stereotypical Asian sizing?)

Modified Text

What's Missing?

easy ways to get parts,

bolts sizing

M6/8? bolts/ self locking nuts?

washers?

why not keep those spreads loads?

better channels/ cross

Missing some rivets?

must be a WednesDay hand cart/truck

What Can Be Found?

LegaSleeze on how not to use it

shifting responsibility

Maintenance

if bad don't use,

maintenance, Real would fix it,

and parts would be available

instead of just disposable

built in obsolescence

PlannedObsolesence2016

What Can Not Be Found?

How To Analyze?

Lenses

Noob

SomeAssemblyRequired

may get you?

Design wise,

weak front non turning wheels

back locking/ braked/

Otherwise it may fail

in new and interesting ways,

physics (+cheap design?),

who knew?

Kids

Like most hings not a toy

not for human/ pet/ animal

precious cargo,

not for kids, despite

kid type height and size

unexpanded, platform and

handle...

Dis/Diss/Dys/Hiss/Etc

If mechanically inclined,

or know someone who is,

and will assemble for you

might be a way to not

carry as much,

except, for carrying the 17lb?

item itself, so has to be worth

it, imnsho...

Not a stroller, not a walker,

not a wheel chair, but might

make some carrying distances

better? or not?

wheel size and curbs?

ramps? catches on what?

seams in concrete sideWalks?

GeneralPublic

Extra special dolly?

aluminum?

doesn't rust right?

put aluminum in the dishwasher

gets this white/grey rust on it,

and aluminum causes Alzheimer's

right?

Better not eat the dolly right?

Assumptions

SomeAssemblyRequired

like Batteries Not Included

(their Lithium powered tools, btw)

may get you, idk...

I'm not you(ze).

Time Limits

2 Day Weekend sale

or until sold out,

draw people in on busiest days,

another gimmick,

advertise the item,

then disclaimer

supply chain problems,

so might not find,

and searchable quantities,

and descriptions limited time

on the app / website,

have to register to even see

stuff, cookies don't work,

remember,

so assemble and take

home? can you figure it out

in the parking lot?

worth the risk?

Book Data

Manual likely copyRighted,

the additions, corrections

would have to be a

gift to the corporate world

to fix the broken English,

text with numbers

to diagrams not there?

part numbers?

exact part sizes?

for finding replacements?

Tune up wheel kits?

bigger wheels?

enhancements?

Conclusion

Summary of experience or similar

Something to try,

have to find the little part that fell,

wonder about the torques,

none listed and likely not much

given the small tools,

locking washers,

and plastic wheels,

but folds down so like a lot

of stuff, some not even tried yet,

an Aldi

AldiCantFinds2020

(finally got the next year)

collapsing like wagon,

This ParkSide is smaller than that,

but not as light?

and both aluminum?

use to get to commercial laundry

like a big hamper?

then replacing the fabric?

likely the

AldiGardenLineGardenUtilityCart2019

and not being multimodal (sp? +hyphen?)

on buses, hand truck

worked once, but will see...

Luggage carts break even

bigger heavier ones

and the grocery full size

non folding/ collapses

doesn't seem to be worth it,

this will see...

Discussion

A place for feedback on the page presented

What pull along things have you tired?

Does wheel size and type of wheel

make a difference?

Why is everything made so cheaply?

How much assembly is reasonable?

For you?

for others?

who might need / want one of these?

The right to self repair

laws, does that apply here?

Why?

Why Not?

What means of cargo / utility

is allowed on Public Transit?

How far?

goes over the entrance?

gets suck in wheels?

have to take the elevator

then risk others not masking

and breathing on you?

What better options do you have?

Rent a kid?

or not worth the trouble?

/Risk?

They don't even do their family

chores, why rent them out/

hire them?
