IN DEC 2006 Jerryadded a RecoveryApplication page from an email (later edited out as outdated, to see historical RecoveryApplicationJerryDec2006), providing feedback mostly in the RecoveryApplication PageHistory section plus CAPITALIZED PARTS and RecoveryApplicationDiscussion, but later realized possible conflicts in tasking (to Bill) and the closed nature of the email and to chair process MANY-TO-ONE or ONE-TO-MANY vs a more inclusive wiki based comment/discussion MANY-TO-MANY process..
Doug offered good comments on how to login to the wiki (signin with contributor password and an email PLUS use the checkbox to request update notifications) but there are still issues within the RRWG and others using the Wiki...
This may be partially due to the lack of hands on wiki use and historical connectivity issues at the Institute. Doug adds: which might be resolved with a change of Venue.
Wiki background:
Wiki culture is a community process as well as a web based software tool. Many people can edit, post, contribute, etc, unlike a traditional website. Wikis are built upon a difference engine which can be seen more in http://novapeers.pbwiki.com/changes.php (FIXED LINK) which lists creation dates, changes by whom, editing times, page changes, amount of online writing time, etc. This can be emailed to you if you login with A CONTRIBUTOR PASSWORD, an email (OR RSS FEED) and click the check box to be notified of changes and turned off if you wish to stop receiving notifications of each change set...
RRWG Process:
How multiple people do wiki editing to avoid circular edits, is a social process, not technology. One option, if more people had color printers (or working printers at all...) maybe we could set text font colors OR FONT FACES? (in the upcoming new Point-and-Click WYSIWYG pbwiki editor) instead of bold and italics, or cut and paste to diff page names for other individuals? Anyway, more tech issues off the FrontPage at WikiDiscussion or similar...
