and other data points

led to this,

mostly getting it wholesale

but seeing how that reduced

cost is really sweat equity

and learning some of what

goes into the costs of a shop/

dealership, etc in the shipping,

limited parts, availability,

and assembly issues

not to mention design,

liability, support, maintenance,

etc...

Original Text

So considering the Adult Trike E350

basically a grandparents bike with a

24 inch electric motor on front

and battery in the back, basket,

and a limitation of 10 MPH

max, with the electric weighing

in at around 75 pounds or so,

while about the same price

$1300 or so, wholesale,

MAP (Minimum Advertised Price)

this is not selling, and also

IANAL, but have recommended

other distributor relationships

than just JBI.Bike (QBP, MidWay,

UBI? etc?) as feel

gouged (sp?) by shipping costs,

$125 or so from Pennsylvania

warehouse, it was only in California

before the fires, and paying $1400

when the combined $1500 starts

at some special rates,

$500 is free shipping but bikes/trikes

oversize are exclusions,

this one  being big some special

oversize, the eBike special handling

makes some sense, lithium batteries

have taken own planes,

(some air disaster show

i haven't seen in a while)

shipping is union, freight

and S&H is not Freight,

so totals and invoices are confusing

on that too, talking to a sales person

a problem, and some things

are REP, REC, Replacement

have to talk to a Sales Rep,

some links don't work for this

the online manual PDF doesn't

download, some XSeam

measurement

for if long/ short enough,

but at 6' don't see how it wouldn't

work for me,

eBikes from various places

weighed in at about that,

financially

some only available from out west

but imported next shipment

October, already assembled,

i'm guessing, the links to

manuals likely worked,

but small scale at some point,

this a 65? pound Heavy Duty

taking a 400 pound passenger/

rider load, only the Cargo Bike

taking a 250 pound rider

and 250 pound cargo matched

or exceeded that, but not in stock,

other bents were two wheel,

many had ape hanger bars,

the TadPoles looked interesting,

smaller overall length,

but wheel behind the head

lean back and get it caught

like hair in machinery

not that the arms on the side of

the EZ3 HD are free from getting

hit with elbows etc when doing hand

signal turn turns, need fenders,

finding a basket that fits,

much less racks for this unique

Behemoth?

A shock absorber (sp?)

and hinge in the middle

but not easily collapseable

one of the first things was

trying to get a pin through those

instructions weren't that helpful

and thought it might be the wrong part

but soft metal and lateral stability

putting the front wheel on first

might help keep it from scraping

or doing on a soft surface,

a back patio of the parts guy

i volunteered for myself,

a shipping drop off location

may have been closer, and

may have to see what options

there are, but many have cars,

not sure how it got where i first

saw it, and might have to ask,

find out, you see even trying

to get it has strained relations,

interpersonal issues

get an email late in the day

it showed up and was picked up

a day earlier than i had expected

as shipping Freight it took a special

handling and is big so likely wanted it

out of there, I'm asked for the payment

ahead of time while for smaller stuff

had done like a COD (cash on delivery)

so from a small life insurance policy

my mother (and father) had

tried to do something to help

myself, some times in my life

i have made big money type

decisions, this a risky one,

the wholesale part made it

possible, went and researched

in BenteBikeOptions2020

and before eBikeCheating2017

(also from mom and ear marked

as an eBike i tried small and

cheap) this it isn't, small as in

low, but long and heavy,

PedalCarts2015

PedalCartAlternatives2016

gave me an idea how it might

be and might weigh similar

but speed is an issue

Coaster brakes, one speed,

and reverse is a nice feature of

that, but low, and hard seat,

limited carrying ability

but taking a folding luggage

cart and turned out behind

the seat posts (two stays

propping up the hinged metal

frame around a mesh seat,

and one of those inside the

handle and had a makeshift

trailer, given not other possible

others are QuickRelease skewers

through the axle and wheels

on this (two in the back)

end at the wheel, not through,

more like a wheelchair...

No TrailerHitch like ball,

to pull/ tow stuff, maybe something

to WeldingBasics2013

but might have to buy extra frame

components, etc, PClamp

other options...

very long chain by bent

Electric conversion kit

SideBySide kit for Bents

exist, sun shades,

Conclusion

Summary of experience or similar

Only first ride so far,

and partially assembled at that,

the linkage for steering a bar with

two threaded ends and a ball

swivel like joint which can be

adjusted longer and shorter,

by a bit, i guess to center

the under the seat steering

but it knocks/ hits the pedals,

i could have ZipTied (tm elsewhere)

it but had overstayed my welcome

at the dropoff/ assembly point,

asking for cups of water and ice,

the heat, seemed to be a major

issue, and getting it out of their

garage, i tried getting back

home with it to learn/ try things

in the comfort of a/c,

back in the garage

after the second day,

the first went hour(s)

and he called time at 10 pm

(maybe 20 minutes before

on a holiday,

i couldn't take on Rail,

bents not allowed?

try wheelchair disabled exception?

but closed, so walking it to their

mile(s) had walked the 10+ miles

to get there the first time,

but much cooler weather,

and stop and dark,

carrying a tire pump floor model,

big but tires are 110PSI

and a hand pump would take a while

didn't even specify if Presta or Schrader

value, so trying to order parts,

extra tubes, etc with shortages,

spending more, $1200 in

and another $100

and still problems paying,

as spent $200 the previous month

$80 wheel set, not bad, but not

rim brake compatible, both disc

and a mixed Montague front Disc

back regular rim brake 26inch

not 27.5 which is most of today's

or 29" popular too, back and forth

on the eBikeCheating2017

RideGenesisH1CommuterEBike2017

14 inch tires, unknown motor

supply and even angled valve stem),

broke the pedal, likely described in on

recent posting, so limited means

to go get parts, starts being like

a BikerRedNeck, various projects

up on blocks like you'd see

cars in various states of disRepair...

many rednecks would at least have

a garage and/or yard to do these

things, but not a (really) poor one

in Suburgatory, etc...)

then the few minutes before

UberXL is big, but none available

at that time, cost $25 or more

for bigger, added to what i owe

when felt like sabotaged,

to keep my toy, new best thing,

then wanted to ride it,

and i don't share things like that

led to a get off my property,

and other threats,

while i had been showing up,

calling when outside, or nearby

after getting email things were in,

and picked up, some timing

issues, as i have to leave

hours before i'd even hear

that things were there, and/or

time to pick up, i can't think

of one time that it was an

easy thing to do,

first trip was walking and

bragging rights, cooler

weather and round about way

of finding it, needing parts,

first paying, money order,

one time, as mailed to me,

dangerous without brake

pads to ride and tired/ sick,

bad weather, etc, so got those

mailed to me, but other times

back and forth 12-15

plus minus some lost

in relatively affluent neighborhoods,

some laying down on people/s lawns,

buying time at the local food place

after big hills, charging the eBike

for hour(s) $20-30+ in food

then wait for hours more for

sundown, which i'm not good

at anxious? about what is going

on and feeling like abused,

mechanical people can be controlling

i know i have been,

but autism too, likely add disability

and all the DropIn stuff

was to not to have to make appointment,

and transit times, and limited funds

and quickly becomes unsolvable,

with summer heat, have to leave

when cool, but catch 22 of have

to contact to schedule, and just

went out on a limb to guess

it was in, and they were around

a quick pickup is one thing

and progressing to talking into

able to buy a whole bike/trike/

eBike, while seems to support the

org which isn't doing what it

normally would given

Discussion

A place for feedback on the page presented

What installation stuff have you done?

Ever done wholesale?

What are the drawbacks from retail?

Some assembly required?

Means what?

if do most things on your own

can you cut out the middle man/

extra costs?

how is it different than Employee Benefits?

Employees may have a base pay,

and then commissions on top of that,

but volunteers? even after years,

when most volunteer appreciation things

are drinking centric events

even fund raisers keggers...
