I'd heard legend of The Cookie Lady in South Western Virginia

along the transcontinental bike route, usually starting

or ending in Jamestown? VA, from BikeCentennial

in 1976 or so,, which later became

Adventure Cycling Associations (based in Missolua (sp?)

Montana? TransAm maps...

but I never made it there...

June Curry was her name

I'd heard reports she was in nursing home

or some type of assisted care and wonder

how many people who had stayed at her

place had bothered to stop by and

visit with her...

Summary of experience or similar

George Jefferson from 1970's TV sitcoms

died too, but not sure what to say about him,

lots of people have been dying and that says

nothing of the Aurora Colorado Batman Screening

shootings, nor a lot of other people,

like a 10 year old biker hit by a car in Chicago

who died.

the Cookie Lady's The Bike House?

One big difference is that TheCookieLady

didn't tolerate alcohol, but  DC's TBH does

keggers as fund raisers, as does a lot

of bicycle coops and groups
