Weekend before MLK Rally, some people

a few back, a Fairfax Special Forces man
was killed for picking flowers...
And I Have A Dream, yet unrealized
of caring for All people, as difficult as that is,
sometime before I die...

Having dealt with them for over a year now, the Trust Department,
a whole separate way of screwing up your life,

from years back, when I thought these people
were out to help others, instead of just themselves,
you see most providers and advocates seem to be
self serving, as people who don't generally understand
legislation, and I'm now talking people with intellectual
disabilities, and also those with physical and emotional/
mental disabilities, are pushed in front of legislators
to beg for money, which may or may not help them in the
long run... What they end up advocating for is paying providers,
and in this case some of the worst I've ever dealt with,
and I've met some, like mental hospital staff who
say stuff like "they check in, but they don't check out"
not the Hotel California, but killing people in hospitals,
some direct threats I had with About PeerConf1
back in the day, of advocating for peer run services,
peer counselors in MH side of the arena...
So I've dealt with the Trust Department for over
a year, alienated by the Director, who says stuff
that only lawyers could get away with, basically
lying about the previous director overselling Trusts,
now replaced by someone from the Metro, probably
MetroAccess, which sent a taxi that ran over my feet,
back in September of 2008 or so, then abandoned/
stranded me, so many times I've lost count, and
finally within a day or so of being hit by a car,
on bike, the final time, pulling up in Arlington,
and refusing to take me and my mobility aid,
claiming I didn't need it, a usual tactic is doing so
on a weekend when oversight is nil...
First of all, a driver is not an eligibility worker,
and they waited the two years after having
the taxi run over my feet before blatantly
abandoning me, taxi's were not serving Pathways
and RRWG office in Fairfax City, to Mount Vernon,
especially during peak times...
So some of the Lack of Trust games, of the Arc,
done locally,
try forcing appointments, with abusive Director,
conveniently forgetting all the nastiness/ bitchiness,
for the lack of a better clinical term, of
"you aren't Getting It", Oh, I must have been talking
about something else, forgetting entire dialogs of
unhelpful conversations, You Have $NNk
in front of Delegate Scott, and company,
you see their offices have a big conference table,
they seem to do family style, everyone else's personal
business is put out in front of every visitor and
Tuesday Lunch Bunch and Orientation and delivery
person who happens to be around there,
no privacy, so I'm not really concerned about telling
their business to the world, they have told mine,
scheduling, or trying to force a meeting/ appointment,
they charge $80 an hour or so to rent a car,
when they deny transportation, my self determined,
a MotorCycle, which I've had a license for probably
decades, bought one with the self funded trust plan stating
a motorcycle and they deny it, leaving me stranded,
forcing rental cars to conferences, which they try
to get fees, but usually don't get any payments
aka disbursements until it's too late, leaving you
emotionally abused on top of what ever grief
you have for the loss of a parent, let's make it
clear, they have not concern nor skill at all
about caring for you, they don't care,
they are just in it for the fees, and investments,
which they are losing in the market, in my case
in an investment strategy that I didn't even authorize,
but I guess it takes a lawyer, the one who created
this CessPool, to really fuck up your life...
I had bad feelings of this person, we met initially,
my family, or what's left of it, going to met and
get advice.... But there is this pooled trust to
manage it for you, cheaper, and local so it
must be the right thing to do... WRONG...
I can't even state how abusive they are,
emotionally, words don't describe getting your
hopes up for a conference, or seeing Temple
Grandin in person at the Accessibility Forum/
Conference, and usually just hearing weeks
after a disbursement request, when you were
expecting to get the check most businesses
don't accept, going to all sorts of lengths,
have to have a receipt to get a disbursement,
how do you have a receipt, for something you
are trying to purchase?? By then it's already
purchased? Do credit cards? Nope, why do
credit when you supposedly have the money to
do it, and no feedback nor tracking whatsoever
of the disbursements put in, they can't tell you
because they don't track requests, like a trouble
ticket system or something, people are part time,
so even normal banking hours, if they kept
to the schedules that you are forced to try
to do, remember no transportation, heat waves,
hit by a car, collapsing from exhaustion,
run around by the most un friendly housing
system I've ever seen and I've lived and worked
in a seasonal and unseasonal shelter
system... Plus trained in a private psych hospital,
eventually earning a Bachelors, the highest level of
one such staff person, about a 1/2 of my age,
and very little of my experience nor training,
who at one time says "you aren't getting it"
another time "I don't do approvals, someone
else does that"...
So anything over 15 minutes or so and they want
to charge you the meeting fees, of about $80/ hour,
while disapproving what you need, remember
emotional abuse...
And they are not clinical staff, no real Terminal
Degree (MSW, PhD there, nor are BSW
even qualified to be case workers anymore,
the damage they do, really only paper work,
and run errands, don't seem to be qualitied
to do that)...
Their latest trick is to say that I'm dangerous...
Outright lie. Let's spread that lie around some,
M.H. People are Dangerous, Men are Dangerous,
Motorcycles Are Dangerous, but their fears,
personal only, are just that Their Fears...
But to project them onto your clients?
To use that as an excuse to probably try to
claim more of a trust fund?
It seems to be their way of control,
patronizing and more abuse...
And the old R Word Respect thing, only one or two
in the office seem to have some idea of what
that means internally, as disabled people should know what
it's like, to be treated disrepectfully, and not do
it to others, but only one seems to have a clue
about it. I guess you can't teach what you don't
have, but why advocate for it, unless that is a lie
too?
So pictures on the wall of parents with their disabled
kid, the classic poster child mentality, is their
PR strategy... Disabled children and adults do have
parents, and relatives, I'm always amazed that people
think I don't have family, not that I see them, at all
anymore, but that is another story, you see I was
"advised" to go to this Mind Fuck place by family,
who doesn't seem to even understand nor hear
how bad it really is there...
Identified Patient. A word and term people need
to know... Make a ScapeGoat, basically, make
sicker, make worse, not better, that is what happens,
and in the instance of trusts, someone who used
to have a parent who cared and passed away,
left to this shit, as a "last resort"...
Don't think they actually care, don't think
they will substitute for a parent or even competent
provider, don't think they will help, because
they don't seem to, in my personal experience
over the last year there...
Harsh words for a system that is totally Fucked...
