So first T Day without Mom,

likely not specific enough,

mom died, this past year,

so no holiday with her,

most of my life, except some college

when I refused to return home,

and spent a quiet and rather alone

on with (well around) international sludents,

who didn't travel so far, for such a short

American Holiday, a week, or so, i don't

recall much more than don't do that again,

not much to do, school was out,

and stuff closed, not sure cafeteria must

have been minimal, if at all,

and going into town limited, to trying to find

schnops, or something, drinking age was less

16, must have been more 18, (now likely 21)

and most college kids trying to find what can be

done, while needing/ wanting some ice breaker

for social stresses, not getting much action

as freshMan/ lower classman/ women,

and other problems of the geeky,

non rich, non popular, etc...

 

Anyways, I had an invite and other things

might have happened this year,

but not going for it, partially with the Flu Shot

partially Mom gone, and nothing much from

any other area, so no social skkills to speak of

controlling groups is one thing, but there's a

hands off distance built into clinical stuff,

and starting non professional/ para professional,

and entanglements, perhaps an Autie aloofness?

snobbisness perhaps from another perspectiev,

i had my machines,

ATTNokia31a2019  getting old hat,

thouht not well written, already filled up,

mostly 32Gig instead of 16 and not done

the first day, find some apps from history

of apps and try them on this? what ever happened

to, x,y,z type stuff, look at later,

hand/arms still a little loose, on the bike

for hours, and walk around later,

see the lasting effects,

wondered the course and go back and try

too small for big bikes? but old kid on the playground

type stuff, odd at the time, but after see if can do

the same, smashed that screen, badly

the other just cracks and has SLW on it,

so two down, getting another

and trying BLU unlocked would have

made sense, but not to be....

 

Had been given a 9.x lb (frozen dead) bird from

BeggarsCantBeChoosers2017

which stayed frozen,

some wander and look for free food/

forage, and an alarm around empty the building

didn't have to go out, by the time i was ready

showered the trucks noises came,

and alarm stopped so not necessary,

ready, but not out...

No smoke smelled, so not sure what the risk(s)

were, some intruder, and health crisis likely

limited, and maybe some concern with downness

documented, assume clinically depressed who

write about others problems are really hiding their

own, blustery/ windy day, 40-50 mile per hour gusts,

went out, and into the headwind,

maybe 5 mph at best, facing those, in shorts,

what i had, had hand washed some stuff, left

up (drips a lot, wring out, )

a tub full, of delicates/ bike synthetics,

some let water rinse until clear,

but wanting to take a shower, and need to get

going type reuse the tub, put to one side,

and drain type issues, so not as good,

even than some of the machine washing

which apparently misses many things,

the Aldi dishWashing liquid htough cheap,

well, cloudy dishes, tea cup saucers

and they are more milky, especially when stacked,

and other would not want others to see type

housekeeping issues...

from $60ish, so some savings, and get one

before it was completely not on the shelves,

the Stand Mixer last one around,

box was messed up,

maybe some kids fought over,

and in the returns cart, talked them down,

sold as new with a box like that,

they said don't return it like a bad penny

keep coming back,

some might think would give it to you,

a red one, might have done, last one at that store,

but later grey found and a fair price

$30-40 normally $60 ish,

similarly Convection Oven

in a bowl, have the square one, bought with

the digitally controlled Turbo

one is in a big (11+ quart)

glass bowl, seems like easier cleaning

the rotisserie function not tried thinking what a mess

that might make on the square turkey

mom made a turkey ina convection oven one year

and it expands and makes a square turkey fitting

into the oven, and not a lot of space for air to flow around,

AirFryers are similar specialized ones,

apparently, from reading WikiPedia pages on both

(add to Links below, or GoFish?)

a lady/ baker/ chef? told me about them,

when considering and talked about not getting mom's

KitchenAide, turns out there is some maintenance

and if not used the grease etc, might have coagulated/

frozen up, but i'd still want to take it apart,

and learn from different models,

seems like measuring marks,

controls are not a slide but a turn,

and would want a glass bowl, see the mixing,

not stainless steel,

turn the bottom base, vs. hanging,

and other stuff likely best left for that page,

sectionalize and push in smaller subPages later?

 

If this were freeWRiting, timed exercises,

type for 5 minutes  or similar limit,

15 minute timer on my watch, a good reminder,

but could look up the time started, page change

timer on main FrontPage,

and see, save this and see...

 

But mind going, and going back for typos

and not going to be the clever page i'd hoped

Anyways, ended up cooking my usual

5 or so chicken drumsticks

in the Turbo Convection Oven

some reading about Malliard (sp?) reaction

and caramelizing around the same

temps, and air flow

not the fashter, took abou the  same

30 minute default wasn't good enough,

so put in for 20 min more

eating some along the way,

as hungry,

nuked white potatoes,

and put them in the dryer,

dehydrator is more like it,

so somewhere in between,

next day or so, try the

stand mixer

already done the washing on that,

had to wait for the big glass bowl

taking most of the bottom rack,

and what can be put around it,

a pot for other stuff,

Stuffing Mix, not he SourDough,

not the Hawiian, want to try those,

maybe some still around

and/or discounted soon?

missed day after sales,

BlackFriday and GetOutSide DAy

or similar antoCommercialism

alternatives,

stuck in with Flu Shot and no money

and a problem in my seat/ groin area,

likely whre the abrasions/ chafing/

monkey butt problems from so many

miles

as isolating and depression and loss/ grief

Some worrying tests, based on personal,

and profiteering and likely try to tell people

what to do, a simple test, done well would

give better results, and what to make of it,

and a history of Clinical Depression would

say, go be active, be around people,

add Autism likely and avoid if necessary,

have/had CornBread, no butter used,

so bland, but not all wheat, and make my own bread,

 

tried the STandMixer

the next day,

flour, self rising?

also sale item,

and broke into white Corn Meal

small bag, not the rice flour, specialty stuff,

out of Masa, a $2/ ~4 lb to go pick up,

or wait,

staple of making those

can of corn, been falling down,

stocked up on veggies at $0.27 each limit 15

and not been baking/ flour stuff,

no Bread Flour , Self Rising one thing,

UnBleached another and All Purpose,

so specialization, learning about it,

but still not there, what to add to all purpose/

unbleached, to raise gluten/ and or go GF

and make an alternative?

so turned into pancakes with corn meal

corn can stuff inthere,

raised ok, added very old RumFord

Baking Powder, guessed amount

to be adding to corn meal as flour already had

using up eggs, 3 added, large instead of medium

being generous i guess had extra seasonal

non date stamped, so added more there,

most recipes probably are for LArge,

not Medium...

nothing on it, but eating up apples, and using

up potatoes, they are/ were piling up,

some rotting/ sprouting, and going for

the more fun, given a M* Sugar Cake

which was good, simple, and hadn't had

early in the week,

and wonder if i can make that eventually,

some other stuft to try baking in the convection

oven, drier, and hwo to add that?

seeing what is going on , but needing time lapse,

and go do other things, watch tv hsows,

play games , first runs and wasnt to see,

like ice cream machine but

a watched pot nver boils, not as fast

as even microwaves, so no action to see,

have to wait, the skillet and using the batter,

the stand mixer bowl not that much different

than a regular,(lift and add that way,

the small hole for liquid, powder gets stuck nearby)

using the one attachment,

somehow different than a bread maker small paddle?)

and gets not fully mixed so stirring required too

ladle out the mix, as goes along the side,

a diff angle and getting started difficult

so full, testing the max limits,

when need a gradiated, how many cups flour

corn, water, etc rough guesses,

but must max marker

 

not the kneading and meal dranks,

masa does too, but not that dry,

350 Watts not that powerful,

smaller bowl and like a Dash or similar

off brand small one...

Not the cenrepiece to a future baking empire,

not moi...

 

So ate, have some left over,

some eaten at the time,

and enough to make it thru to the end of

the 3 hour dishwashing cycle, usually done at night,

some suggest doing all daily dishes

not leaving overnight for insects/ etc...

professional kitchens like shop class,

i guess, must clean up, can't leave stuff out,

next shift/ kids coming in,

but first shift and likely critters crawling around,

how clean was that, they get in the crevices that are

not cleaned, steam cleaning professional kitchens

racks that will take steamers,

and other food safety, storage, and large volume

stuff...

 

To be learned, maybe some other time,

if ever, just curiousity, the WAPo article

on a homeless shelter cooking for hundreds

of people, and feel good one day,

some of us just making it through,

some probably don't

but drivel about it not that fun also,

maybe why the free writing timer,

might help going on an hour?

so punting,
