Introduction/Definition/etc

Take a moment to acknowledge that this is a holiday weekend,

of sorts, Valentine's Day weekend, while technically

Valentine's Day is Monday February 14, 2011,

but it's the weekend closest, so why not?

Seems to be lots of events going on around this

Hallmark holiday, for those without and I guess,

for those with too...

Keep people  busy and they won't drop into depression,

make kids make cards for everyone at school,

and pretend everyone is liked/ Loved,

while most of the time, we (MH? / bloggers) are just

"spitting in the wind", so to speak...

On the international front, Egypt is in the news,

someone was going to step down, but didn't,

and now I guess, it's forced by the military coo (sp?),

which effects us on a slow news month, or just

because we are the bullies on the block...

Seem to recall, an anti-bullying day mentioned

on radio.  Will have to look that up somewhere,

"Google is Your Friend"...

Also, heard some discussion of a

student scheduled to be deported,

stopped at a routine traffic stop,

and now checking papers

(sound like WW1 & 2 Germany???)

lived in the USA since parents brought him from Mexico,

didn't tell the kid, didn't have a SSN

when applying to college for financial aid,

doing well in school, little problems until traffic stop,

and now at 18-20 or so, is discovered,

and in the media for being deported,

helped by Fraternity and public policy wonks,

probably based in Washington, DC,

as NPR or similar reports...
