about Kinloch an all black town

next to Furgeson (sp?)

and Berkley,

and the boundary that was blocked

possibly signifying the racial divide

leading up to Michael Brown's

(aka Mike Mike ) death/

murder/ assassination while walking

in the middle of the road with a friend,

talking about girls, going towards his

apartment complex...

Not sure the race of the interviewer/

cinematographer, but an ethereal

quality of the filming techniques,

now years after the Michael Brown

killing, in neighboring Kinloch,

Missouri just north of St. Louis,

an all black neighborhood with

neighboring Furgeson (sp?))

mostly white, and the history

of a part of town, blocked off,

and now dying off, the airport

crash zone, Martin Luther King Jr,

and the march affecting the

block between the two towns/

jurisdictions, 3 Wards,

and illusions to other things,

and some very direct talk,

mostly later, interwoven with

interviews with residents,

driving/ walking/ biking,

kids, adults, and community leaders,

some imported/ visiting/ after the fact,

some officials, the county recorder

(or name fart from

Americian Indian on the LFShow

in Arizona?)

 

I've seen the piece twice,

missing the first few minutes

the first time, wondering why

i was lost, but the beginning

doesn't help as much as i would have

hoped...

 

Abandoned buildings as the town/

jurisdiction disappeared, interviewing

but not including the likely

white interviewer, nor cinematographer,

the one lady d riving them around and

they don't say anything, until later,

perhaps instructions to please

just give us the tour, instead of

interviewing while she is driving,

a part focusing on her church idol

in the car, and other things,

going down to the blockade between

furgeson and Kinloch, not kinlock,

but kinda, as well, locked in on three

sides from Berkley (sp?) like Cali,

but not? spelled the same, not sure

if eley, but less laid back,

a type of thorny plant added,

and nobody really remembers

when it was blocked off,

but when it opened up,

and talking to the mayor(s)

of both jurisdictions, former

mayors, the airport eventually

buys out the residents,

though from 10k people to

200, it's a ghost town,

and industrial park is buying in,

planes going over regularly about

every 20 minutes included in the

filming...

 

Parts where activism is included,

and taken along the roads,

where things happened, the march

footage following the death,

the person who filmed/ recorded

something during the encounter,

until he was down, fully,

and this is not for kids,

Parental Guidance suggested,

people can go off on this,

black and white,

even a stay calm we are a peaceful

protest, in mourning following

and the mayor watching something

burning, they are just going to let

it burn, perhaps the apartment complex,

a community building, or something,

not really said,

 and comments, we don't get into

the tough stuff/ difficult conversations

about race, the blog/ drivel is after

Black History Month,

enveloping Valentine's Day

President's Day, both

George Washington and

Lincoln, perhaps more,

not a history major, in the least...

 

Nor do i know much about BLM

anger is mentioned in some of the

quotes/ interview audio,

it goes back to a Civil Rights commission

and the 1960's and before,

Kinloch was all black and like many

ghost towns out west and elsewhere,

some things said about it,

Chester, PA also highlighted on that

channel, the lower income likely mostly

black area where Environmental Justice

Justice in Chester, starting the trend/

case law of Civil Rights applied to

environment, like maybe the plane

noise, fumes, and one instance describing

a crash of a test pilot, his parachute

mentioned, heard then went to and

seen  reactions from a lady likely

the same local government

official who drove them around,

filming and talking, taking to the

divide, some things just shown,

perhaps too much to read out,

younger kids might not understand,

but like spelling words, thinking

they can't read yet, showing the

damning evidence, but not all

the other stuff, if footage is available

of MB shot, it wasn't shown,

perhaps it is elsewhere, but

just wandering around like caged

animals, not that different than the

milieau (sp?) atmosphere of the

video/film/TV program

a kid shown bicycling with filming

behind, likely also on bicycle,

going up to and past police vehicles,

not scared, but likely shown the

town and roads, not that busy,

and turns out to be Kinloch police

vehicles, and the kid turning to

the camera biker videographer,

like i did what i told you,

pay up? or i'm done, we're

at the end...

 

Other looping around, fences,

driving until perhaps stopped

by police, not shown, if was,

but an angry like black man,

mowing (a/his?) lawn,

perhaps not wanting to be filmed

or the standard get out of my

face type attitude, directions

given and you can't go that

way recalculating,

Suburban road? the name

of the one to the blockage

and back around, any

photos of when it was closed?

now open, following MLKJrs

assassination, a telling photo,

interviewing the opening afterwardsn

a tunnel like effect with tree growth,

and mowing and dead animal

shown, an older lady walker

and don't want to be on camera,

recorde,d watch where you point

that thing type comments,

it's on the computer showing

audio playing of the testimony

Robert Kennedy's Bobby?

the Attorney General

and the Civil Rights Commission

perhaps blowback,

one letter between a coordinator,

of the march following which killing

MLKJr and a church,

one started from a school another

church to church between the two

communities, sometimes getting

along, just enough for that,

and describing an open wound,

bleeding, and i don't recall that part

doesn't sound like me, like it got

changed, and a collaborative,

and other problems of journalism/

reporting, and the art(s),

different perspectives on the same

thing, one memorable thing during your

term, two older white people, the couple,

the old mayor of Furgeson (sp?)

approached asking for the barricade

to come down, and blowback,

some didn't want that to happen,

and people have to go all the way

around, drive, and other descriptions,

ignoring planes, happen like cars,

but helicopters, even the man's dog

looks around when that happens

oh they are going after someone,

and dogs used too in a search?

 

Later a film shown residents/

black community with kids

making sounds, talking, yelling

my natural reaction is it's fixed,

results are faked,

and a full black ancestor accounts back

3-5 generations back, instead of two

half black, but in the odd world

from a black man's perspective,

why not an all black, see you have

a touch/ drop of white in you,

you're not the HipHop/ Pure Muslim

type thing, hands up, don't shoot

and other protest type language,

day by day interactions with harassing

police, white or black,

black on white violence not mentioned,

but white on black is the focus

of some of this,

not minimizing, but not ignoring

the other side of the coin,
