Google Maps, an app and system

one store

gMaps just ate a long detailed review with description, process and issues of many photos just put up again๐ฟ๐ ๐ก๐ค๐คฌ๐พ๐ง, taking points too
lots of photos,
not that great, on that one,
but wishlist,
reminders,
and some keeping track
prices change, sometimes before
as/ you get to the register,
gMaps needs a better archiving,
say construction,
seasonal items,
products, not menu,
as not all restaurants,
maybe download/ Take Out
would have it?
individual contributions denied/
taken down, not credited,
etc...
I've time stamped and GPS many times
the photos put up, but also a watermark
and known to be me, risking further stalking
and targeting/ attacks, etc...

long review difficult editing on smart phone
with javascript, etc tools, formatting minimal,
links allowed to stuff up here, say,
and other issues, only 5 likely volunteers
reviews, all positive, no customers,
so adding reality, from the other side,
and get shamed for being a client/customer
and/or targeted by many sadistic and
other problems volunteers/ staff,stalkers/
haters, etc...

Conclusion
Summary of experience or similar
Many problems with a popularity based search
system, Google's search engine technique
as a negative review and others in a
Web2.0 like rating system can try to adversely
adjust the data put up about largely brick and mortar
competition to online Amazon, Google, etc...
Reporting, and stores not allowing photographs
when looking up items, say UPC codes
for those and download apps,
before buying a device
to see if your phone, etc works with it,
but that takes signal and data plan,
and/or luck of risking open wifi,
stores are not benefiting, unless some other
monitoring etc
RetailDiscrimination2012
and reviewing very bad experiences
would likely not be kept as staff,
students, etc might complain and then
just positive reviews and photos would remain,
leading to fake news and artificially inflated reviews
and scores, which is a violation of their terms of service
but likely no enforcement exists...
A Store opening like a local Aldi
and the address and duplicate entry,
one popular on the main East West Road
and mine, created but not got credit for,
as creating pins gets you points
towards about a year later free socks
which they want more personal information
to get to you for marketing purposes,
likely......
There are Follow options for stores,
and get some info from that, you can withhold
information, so all reviews done, and chose not
to be public with that,
and not share with the organization you are following,
but most would probably not do that,
some have to for privacy and safety from stalkers,
attackers, etc...
Route information and someone hit and run,
might not be that likely but a location history
and other privacy problems, of location on and
OpenDogTags2018
anonymized is one thing,
but get/ lose. someone stole the device
and more problems of when/ where how,
and access to accounts, email history,
harassing phone calls, lost data and voice
time, replacement time and costs,
like lost ID, really now that so many things
are done with devices, etc
Data can be veery old, i've started time stamping
so some of the few that can tell when it was taken,
for say
AldiCantFind2019
and a loop of 5 stores looking for something on sale,
the software will ask you if you want to upload
photos taken, there but by then too late,
and keeping track manually of which store,
when a photo of a shelf/ clearance items,
etc dated quickly, say a seasonal menu
(when menus are categorized correctly
then want others to label what the item is,
say got a burger, and link that to a price,
and now not available, as special combo price...)
All people get are little perks for reviewing
photographing and other risks of being public
about where they go, location history and how
was $Location?
Can you get $x?
Say $x=knives
not specific enough to know,
Aldi, for example is categorized as a grocery store
so seasonal items, cutlery exists, but rarely,
so a yes, not, don't know doesn't help,
once or couple times a year for a week,
or so, before gone AldiCantFind2019
and/or hours on a Park
when times are relative to SunUp = SunRise
and SunDown = SunSet
not handled well,
Route planning for bicycling thru a park,
bicycling is not a form of transit currently supported,
and say trying to get to Manassas from South
Arlington, can't be done/found, but driving and maybe
public transit if even possible...
A duplicate address seems to exist for
Aldi Bailey's Crossroads,
no merging seems to exist.
Across the street in the Old SafeWay
there is/ was a SunTrust bank
but that they could not verify
as closed, somehow even though the host
SafeWay hasn't been there in a while...
Drive by 360 views along the street
and shows Baby's R Us still going on a
year later...
Harris Teeter at Columbia Pike
a new building still shows construction,
and other updates to gentrification/
construction and edits, peer
based, you supply the data,
if the owner of the business you
could reply to questions and
reviews but form letter
we are sorry to hear you don't like x,y,z
contact us at SomeEmail@Example
with more information doesn't really help...
Peer based questions directed to the store
management from people who think other
customers are the store, get that a lot,
and little to no way of keeping your
hard effort of say really good/best photos
of the store, at night with lighting has disappeared,
likely have to put up here, after > 60k
views total of photos and stuff,
but some one or more reports, likely
by staff, disgruntled students,
sabotage, etc
and can't count on your negative
experiences being saved/ archived,
say discrimination, criminal activity
exclusion, by staff, trying to ban
you for taking photos in their store,
against no written anywhere on
door, nor website "policy" etc...
and then they claim you are stealing
when actually they violate your rights
to information about products,
making good decisions based on litle
real info, and false claims...
Discussion
A place for feedback on the page presented
What negative experiences have you had,
which would potentially help others if reported
online for others to avoid, prosecute, if done again,
etc?
What is positiveism?
How do inflated reviews lie to the other people
about what they might expect, causing wasted
time, money etc in going to a store
and find they don't have, doesn't work,
discriminated against, threatened,
mugged, lost, killed in transit, gangs,
used for stalking, etc...
