Using analogy, if  *the Internet* is the information highway,

then NoVAPeers.pbwiki.com / pbworks.com

is probably virtual road kill...

And not a lot of people run over the carcus

of this stie, as people don't link to it,

and really don't seem to care but to complain about

one person's views, someone who has 'volunteered'

thousands of hours to the c/s/x community only

to be screwed by them too...

Didn't 'get much buyin' on this project. 

Nasty people wanted to do other things with the

money and now complaining when they get their

own created pages deleted?

The intent of the proposal money for website was to create

websites for consumer organizations, and help individuals

or at least consult with them on their creations, as a

part time PAID peer position, from the consumer/

survivor/ expatient voice, not provider controlled

and censored information.

And money was set aside for hardware like computer

projectors, and I don't even have one as an accomodation

for my own meetings when purchased by Pathways staff

for RRWG meetings, but diverted to somewhere else?

Peers helping Peers!  And getting paid to do it..

It's not empowerment if you are continually

used and not respected, by providers, family members

or non profits or even other C/S/X...

Conclusion

Nobody cares, life sucks, it's raining outside,

and some people are just haters...

For the records, I'm not a hater, just someone

who writes how he feels, and probably should

edit it more before putting out to the web,

but it gives people the feel for what it is like

to be disabled.  Just because I write negatively

about others doesn't mean I don't treat myself

that way too.  Must be fun to be me, huh?

Self loathing in NoVA.  Title of a book, eh?
