Waiting for a voucher pickup,
and other parties come in,
both sets seem disabled,
one maybe with a helper,
the lobby going from empty,
which was OK,
i finally got Linux connected AGain,
certificate problems,
and accept the risks,
county site, so similar to other locations,
community center and library,
but required a mask, sign on the doors said,
and i had to stay there a while,
near security, who started talking to me,
steamed up because walked there in the cold,
ski jacket, thought done for the year with that,
wash and pack up, maybe vacuum pack clothes,
though need a vacuum and storage bags for that...

Various interactions along the way,
check information as leaving,
and get mask, for the road, and get going,
first was an asian woman checking out a CaBi
Capital BikeShare red pedal bike,
asked how much, and she ignored me,
maybe heard later on a plan,
so probably couldn't tell the price,
slightly scared, i guess,
i stood further away,
construction going on nearby, like Shirlington
Library fenced area the previous week,
before Easter moving fences out,
and take weeks of IBeam pain removal
and reapply, not Asbestos, not Lead,
but still not something one would want
around you, interesting bucket like lift
coming in and got a video of the the previous
day, two job sites, talked to the foreman
or whatever, and later told of a skinny tired
biker guy using ramp and halting/ stopped at fence,
difficult to see, and at nigth would be a crash,
afaict, despite some street lights,
the flexible bollards that CAFB Captial Area Food Bank
trunks roll over someting to go in or out,
sometimes both, though go from Columbia Pike big curb
just about as much anymore,
even the double trucks one doing training...

so maybe need a ramp on that for ADA,
or something, still a busy spot,
even with Testing Kiosk and Vax site,
running most days...

Try and decide a route,
walking along highway isn't that fun,
but hills have their problems too,
down across the stream,
and up big hills, why not early,
and chilly out, a cold snap and
feeling it, despite out in shorts,
carry along other bags, and some
once used sweat pants the previous night
going out to check internet,
and back down, reuse some things,
but cycle them out too...

Army T shirt jogger,
i'm annoyingly jovial, might be the
early am and cold, shorts, and blowing off steam,
or something, somehow how people interact with me,
makes a difference, wearing bunny ears,
and helmet, attracts some attention,
and different people around,
so guess they are wary....

Have a Navy Joke for the Army jogger,
but it wouldn't be funny.
think he circles back and says only
during Army Navy games, they support
each other other times...

Check the bathroom near the park,
having just gone down the hill i overheated
on the previous
( ProduceBoxAlmostKilledMe or similar)
so avoid the hill when i can, and a Big
one comine up on the other side,
photos, and early morning but later
than i usually do, predawn for some,
but this after sunlight, delayed by
cooking a dozen eggs, maybe some
BackPack Yogurt cups, no refrigeration
required until opened, and No live
cultures, not good for vitamin D
and other distingusing features,
not 150g, but 113g so smaller,
and some sugar, and likely reacdtion
to that, some Lidl EveryThing bagels
bought the other day, and full,
early enough that liquids not keeping
me from talking and pee all the time,
so planned overnight, time the best i could,
sleep wasn't really part of the equation...

Talk at a group of kids heading to school,
are we there yet?
could be worse could be going to work,
i interject...

and check wifi again,
forgetting the name of the teacher i used to
know there from OneLapPerChild OLPCLearningClub
library wifi, and nothing new, but checking,
weather, etc, keep going...

Woman at a bus stop bundled up and
it's cold, it was 80F the other day,
and get a nonsense response i shrug off,
not sure why, doesn't like my type
or different language, meeting someone,
idk, keep going...

School buses,
and someone going down a residential street,
only other pedestrian(s) around so go that way,
next block up would be lonely and  boring,

come upon a garden hose across the sidwalk,
ask if water, she says for tree stewardship
and if have a pickup truck get volunteered
to do those things, lots of gas cans,
technically could be a pump from a storage
container and gas, watned to make sure,
jump rope like, not trip on it,
not bright safety colors,
try seeing if kids/ teens are drivers
and available for moving, not even considered,
the real problem with pickup trucks people
asking for hlep moving, afaict...
like old Park Tools assemble a bike for xmas
friend video, not that good a friend,
when wondering how much of a task
they take on, rechecking various things
did the factory build it right,
or have to do more,
not that good a friend...

and on to get there, early,
open, requires masks,
a couple bikes in the racks,
outside, and had decided to walk
build up my legs, some biking,
50 miles the weekend day long commute,
but other muscles and if doing moving
marathon, stairs, etc might need
some cross training, but not great shoes,
Levis loafers slip ons, and a little big,
so might be a problem, building up soles,
callouses (sp?) for longer trips,
cool enough, winter 10 mile walks
not happening as much with back on bike/
mobility aid...

After checking about bunny ears history,
and showing lit up ears,
telling of where and might still have,
idk, clearance, next year, etc...
Told to call the manager,
and a number, did something to it to
make it easy to remember,
and called, told said 10a
yeah, early, and sat down,
get connected wifi update upgrade
HP Jammin Jimmy JellyFish or similar
3J named Development release spend SunDay
trying to get going, and seems to be again...

Sneezing sounds like a service animal
hidden back there, or kid playing underneath
the counter, maybe a babysitting/ child care
thing not started yet, idk...

and restarted it too, by mistake,
on to other songs, finally some Zombie
CranBerries, and she comes out,
two copies, and told don't give them the
original, they can copy, but not keep,
and she gets a copy back, of what i sign,
dates, and extensions, total time,
how that works, and some things
we didn't get to on the phone call the
previous day, help moving,
problems with packages, not getting
phone from last month 6-10 business days,
accepting a phone,
and told pays bills
when really think more a representative payee
like with social security,
and somehow she thinks i'm lying,
oh, i could have gone in a room alone
with her, but some reason besides laptop
in my lap, and phones spread out on my legs
keyboard, moving there to sign, seems a little
much, plugged in, and ski jacket airing/drying
over chairs in front, backpack, and vest,
bag, etc...
wearing a black base later, basically a thermal,
walking and cold, wicking and sweating,
so a combination, also had a t shirt or something
in the accessory bag,

i'm trying not to say things like where i
applied, as two other sets of people shoed up,
and she started 0940a or so,
wehn others were there, feeling liek a performance,
she's black, and new to me?
everyone staff has been so far,
security, front deak,
security came out,
i'm somehow a problem so she circled around,

somehow got an across facility thing,
started iwth library recommending i bring in,
shirlington branch and lots of people hanging out rere,
risking losing stuff in bags, bags altogether,
etc. and then another couple library branches,
community center(s), and Taj / CourtHouse
brielfy to pay vehicle tax, back in late September/
October?
coming up on that again, iirc. Personal Property taxes,
and income taxes missing from last pusting
so many anniversaries, Bunny Day Weekend,
VA Tech Massacre, Emancipation Day, and  Taxes,
no wonder people are more odd than usual...
Security heightened with NYC subway problem,
a shooting or something, not seeing a lot of news,
nor internet, and all bad, afaicdt...

So wondering how it happens that people
disabled and poor are somehow second class
citizens, like on standby or something
for flights, not that we fly much of anywhere,
nor would i really want to,
but space available, and waiting,
and shifted around, i guess buffers
the real people's renting patterns,
we can't really own, like slavery,
we have little / few rights, one sided
contracts and policies designed, it seems
to enslave, can't own, all the paperwork
financial restraints, disabled like
vow of poverty, and yankign our chains
so many ways, not that different,
whippings are verbal and done black to white,
staff to clients, and other problems,
reverse racism likely, classism,
ableism, and still a lot for equality
Sufferage and Civil Rights were a while
ago, 100+ years, and still some of us
are looking for the access to polls,
(my voting last time didn't count)
absentee as disabled and show up,
couldn't print, a print disability,
besides reading fine print, conflicting
laws and policies, there,
privacy and someone seing and saying how i vote(d),
others trying to disqualify, polls monitoring
in a blue part of a red state,
someone claiming already voted,
he put in my vote? wtf?

but just another part of the system that likely
doesn't want to change...
MH is only one part of it...
