So walked home after Voucher pickup
more issues to burn off from going,
and it's going to take mos t of my day
a short few minutes pickup but 50+
minute walk there, hour wait,
50+ minutes walking back,
sore feet, recovering,
sleep lost about it overnight before,
and processing afterwards,
cook some frozen hamburger rolls,
add large can of dented tomatoes
Centos? or similar Italian
penne rigate pasta
and liquid, found an old chicken broth
look at can and it's a lot of salt,
making my own stuff, give the option of less
salt, maybe headaches and feeling bad
has something to do with salt,
probably like CookSomeThingElse (YYYY Page)
no beans to speak of cans of those
saw a bag, but didn't pick it up,
seemed near the office door,
and not free take Works,
like the toaster oven
might be against rules, idk...

BUt down and try making a bike rodeo,
difficult time of day for me,
usually back down, if up in the night
and i was, but not been to one here,
and fun needed badly,
went down, drinking water,
guessing have to pee as my alarm,
someone suggested a while back,
shower again as was in bed,
after sweaty weekend and longer
sheets change, sleeping bag needs it too,
and how to dress for this,
decide fully bike/ eScooter armour/padding,
and even a VeloCity chain whip headless horseman
scary / cool like t shirt,
shorts, and eScooter knees, elbows covered by
moto jacket, could stand on it's own,
and plenty of ventilation,
as have front panels, and other vents,
ok for summer but still a little heavy,
we've got forecast of rain possible still,
felt cold, but t shirt and shorts,
besides, long higher socks,


going out remember broken pedal
but not wanting to turn back,
kids telling yelling wilding?
with 2+ scooters way too small for them,
and loud, obnoxious, high? drunk? idk...
just glad i'm  getting away from them...

up Very Big Hill, to TroyHill Park
biked most but last part, too steep,
not down on granny gear, had kept the
duffel bag, on top of panniers, and lock
found water bottle, regular, the bike one
already used and awaiting dishwasher run,
not using the 1Litre bought this weekend,
frozen and too much, save for warmer...

First one beside staff there, empty,
and setting up, chalking the course,
on the basketball court,
mini pavilion in corner, and does that have
bathrooms,
something about how it signed up,
and can go leave, take a nap, if have more
children and need registration,
i guess gauge interest? and cancel if not enough?
or contact monitoring as PanDemic and other risks,
child predators, gangs, etc...

But catch some stuff after wind blew the
display info all around the table,
not going to be a day for displays,
like a farmers market and canopies
become parachutes, threatening clouds,
wonder if it'll rain us out,
pavillion has a little coverage...

Looping around the park, new age range
play sets, not that different than down
in the park by 4MileRun,
W&OD, new construction modern standards,
spungy soft stuff under in case fall,
a loop around the upper park/ playground,
some runoff pond, but didn't see any turtles,
frogs or anything, just some floating trash,
found some flowers in a patch behind
the benches in a back part,
and a cookout pavillion separate from
the bathrooms one in the corner,
both are singles /family like
the one i went in has a baby changing
station, in metal not plastic, and some
button for releasing the door,
besides the latch, and thinner middle area door,
cleaning/ pipes access?
odd, not sure it's electric?
solar? or sunroof, idk,
would be nice to power it somehow...

Earlier in the day a solar picnic table
at the career center, a solar projecdt, afaict,
battery pack with warnings, and wonder
if SlumLordSimulationGame would qualify,
reuseable, portable, elarn with solar panels,
tech like learning by doing...
Not exactly constructionist like OLPC,
but a start, Temple Grandin might be proud, idk...

But i digress, something about Bikes,
Rodeo, oh, country but not cattle processing
like Temple Grandin...

Noisy person shows up on a cargo bike
and crashes it, wondering if drunk,,
and staying away from that guy...

naps, and preparation, bike,

etc. getting going with kids...
me it's nap time, and lull in the day,
low energy, and up from before,
exercise, and cold out,
lightly dressed but not going for the
sweat shirt hooded in the duffel,
requires less layers to get that,
and then backpack  and vest off and on,
just bike around some to stay warm,
a slolum (weave( course with cones in the middle
of the court, ending at the basketball court pole,
so careful with that, but start out going towards,
small cones, and spacing on those rather close together,
a table with pumps and a stand,
signed in and suggested others do too,
first to arrive was a LatinX? family
sepaking spanish and guessing
wonder if staff speak spanish,
turns out one of the 3 does...

and i guessed the guy's name
had been the contact for the BtWD
and never saw? they pushed the Pink one this year,
have i signed up, no actually i haven't
asked about the waiver form,

no they've cooked up their own, somehow,
iirc...

and middle age / size girl,
too big for push bikes,
but not enough for cargo,
maybe get to share with brother's new one,
but never really happens, later guess not pink
and girl colors, and sharng, etc...
the even was billed as middle school and bike buses,
trains, later hearing more about that,
but no real didactic  / lecture mode,
as had thought might be,
just ride and try,

several kids seem to have been on a group
trip from the shop down the big hill.
including the Yuba or similar cargo,
long haul trucker like named _....

I occasionally call the Gary Fisher
loaded up with bags, a short haul trucker,
and thinking some are going to want me to
do a bunny hop, say it's a truck, so can't...
and too old might break a hip,
like unicycling etc...

But loud kid i'd suggested / directed
to sign in first, wants to try the tub cargo
bikes, they are after market added eBike
parts, Blue something one brand
not sure the other, but he
staff is game, gets it started,
along the round course, and i've got to try it,
had wante to go first thinking going to crash that,
but some information, adjusting eBike characteristics,
a display in front, getting used to weight in front,
and what i call a lag in response of front wheel,
direct drive/ steering on most wedgie bikes,
seems a little like the trike with the steering linkage,
and ball, still learning on that,
wanted some spare parts, keeping it up,
and other problems to figurre out...


But try it,
slow spead and wobbly, but turning ok,
back behind the pavilion
and concrete, and up hill it starts kicking
in pedal assist, not throttle like my little
that does both, above a certain speed it will
kick in, never sure when, this the same,
but not a way to request it,
just terrain, i guess and excess charge,
from spinnig wheels, easier/ less energy use
keeping one going towards a speed,
than to get moving, impulse and starting,
kick off speeds, like the scooter actually,
flat help only not hill climbing like moto...

it's real tempting to keep going , trade in the
gary fisher, could use the tub bike for moving,
try in real environments, down the big hill,
back to the park, hey, ran of with our tub bike,
painted BikeArlington and signed on,
rental fees, and police chase, getting
dramatic, but thought about it, briefly
didn't want to return it, and boring
course, but learning turning, and trying...

Later some lights, and mentioned SpokePOV
Emily knows about it, but i drone on anyways,
you see i'm called critical, i guess
the risking just crashed yound guy on the course,
thinking drunk? but just the way he is,
and slander and other libel problems,
idk, writing about kids, told not to photograph
them, and get down to the Too Cute times,
toddler family shows up, baby like goes to mom,
she claims that one, and husband with,
i guess family activity after work,
late in the day, after school,
she, the mom, remembers me, from the library,
do i remember her/them?
bike people look different,
and with winter, helmet, not sure,
but don't say,
can neigher confirm/ nor deny,
or whatever, might remember later,
would be more PC...

But toddler later seen sitting on the
push bikes, they don't have pedals,
but stand up like scooters,
seats, really, so part bike part scooter,
push legs, not have to get on pedals,
distracting i guess..

but she's learned to go on that little thing,
and so cute...

the pink trike arrived first,
just cruising along
the whole time...
Some cartoon show reminds me of,
but not sure which one, Simpsons?

Anways, getting cold and decided to leave,
the family had left, and went dow nthe back of the park,
i guess i'll go that way, brakes squialing the whole time,
what happens when you use disc brake rims with
rim brake calipers... and painted/
enameled at that...
Might wear off, idk, one comment
if they squeak oil them,
during ABC, a test and
Air check tire pressure
Brake does it stop? try levers,
Chain/ Cassette, loose, rusty, off, etc
+ cables, frayed, mine are, have a brake
cable set, not yet installed, gets me in the
knees bleeding a litel on and off,
need to change housings, but get it all right...
likely need to TriFlow with Teflon (evil chemical
in all beings on the planet, iirc and it's
man made, so no other source possible...)
i've bought some green soy based by same
company maybe need to do that,
but which cables which housings need to add
not sure, need to look up sometime...


Down by the dog park,
guy with ears, doesn't respond to people with ears,
odd, and all together
weird reactions from people almost all around today,
so time to go in and down, again, tired, cold,
and sick of being aroudn others,
even bikers, so will see...

Sneezed once but not into my arm,
and mom went other way chaparoning
toddler, i'd shown lit bunny ears to many/most
so my job/ part was done, showed up
enough to write this drivel about,
and back down...

Processed it, some other ways,
and slept on it,
so what i can/ have done for now...

Oh, legs out when stopping on push bikes,
trade name used, red and green
adult on it, she weighs about half what i do,
so i'd need two one each and try using them
as skates, but again break a hip type stuff,
and too old for that,
just go back/ home, eat again and down...
Old guy energy expended, day over...
Woke before midnight and went checking internet,
nothing much, back in....
and down again, yoyo sleep schedule...
