Annually, there are events including
cleanups in public parks,
similar to Homeowners working on their yards.
Debris from trees, storms, and many times
other people's trash...
EarthFest
Small new (only to me?) event
earlier in the month,
during the week, am,
school 🏫 age and
younger kids showed up too,
Painting rocks,
I ask about tie dying,
only half jokingly
Transit services
bike 🚲 Maps, comfort maps, etc
food pantry,
freecycling/upcycling,
Give away with a roulette like wheel (of Fortune),
solar flashlights 🔦 , led household bulbs,
and something else i'm forgetting,
Wanted the first two, ended up with LED bulb,
though flashlight 🔦 probably would have been better,
Pike info about farmers market coming back,
Saturday and,
Blues Festival, Movies on the Pike,

Phoenix Bikes tabled
With literature,
lapel like bikes
i grabbed two,
one of each color while ED busy showing mechanics
on a bike to other youngins,
NoiseMaking, Clowning, and Public Nuisance But No Bots Shown
Busy at that time,
clowning with noise making, bike horn,
red nose squeeky horn, train whistle, black nose,
some of the usual, but not the robots,
Seemed anti env somehow, overwhelmingly busy,
and tired, no real space, one corner daycare,

uncommonly good mood, for moi,
maybe sprayed/vaped by a set of professional women
from the elevators dosing unsuspecting people likely illegal,
one at least on already called on by sec

on her actions against me,

the snake, a black rat snake, ( iirc/looked up later )
Not dripping wet, but slimey without residue, shivering,
hamming it up a bit, for the onlookers...
And told after touching animals to wash up

on public floors, and/or sharing
in general, imnsho),
hand cleaner right there,
Squirted too much, done one handed,
carrying impliments of noisemaking, etc

onlooking kids cheering/commenting,

Dead Duck in Stream
Slow return home one early commute,
looking after cherry 🍒 blossoms 🌸 ,
seemed late in season National Refecting Pool
/Mall festival gone,
but a few of them,
stop to take photos,
maybe videos closer up,
and log interstate noise,
temp, and
high wall effects, etc
Noticed something mallard lots of coloring,
but sideways, narrow, not moving for a while,
Worried about poison spray a ways upstream,
effects down stream, wanting an autopsy to know why,
And heavy rains forecast, washing it down,
and likely scaring kids, etc...
Told a lady later, asking her to call it in,
i had checked park ranger office, too early, likely,
and out in the field a lot, too..
Desk at community center,
typically rude and unprofessional about it too...
Overheard lame excuses of high power line,
feeding/baiting the fox, even gang retaliation,
similar to Muscovy...
Big Bunny Rabbit 🐰
Right after the dead duck in stream,
saw a big bunny hop across the trail,
lifting my even lowered mood,
a bit...
And missed photos/video to save/log/show...

ACE Stream Cleanup
Arlingtons for a
Cleaner Environment (ACE)
had an event on Sunday,
NoVA park ranger(s)
had one earlier in the month,
i made one of the two, the latter, going,
when i saw others, which reminded me,
earlier likely overnight,
saw it in email, looked into it,
Then they wanted too much info,
attacked by some when signing up,
he just wants free stuff, banana,
gloves (we washed them, bring them back),
bags (labelled trash and a clear recycle),
stickers bike org rails to trails,
eventually got one of each,
and there is an app (Litterati),
but i would have to go some where,
no data plan, an open wifi on the way,
got a card/selected an assignment,
wasn't an intersection,
but two crossing parts of the Arlington Loop:
(W&OD, Custis and George Washington Parkway/
Mount Vernon trail),
i had other stuff early am,
left that after briefly showing up
(cameo like add CNP (Can Not Pay to comments),
and stumbled upon something on the slow way back...
Suddenly very tired (sprayed? Social stress,
pollen and up since midnight, getting to be midday,
sun prime burning time too etc?)
oh and we don't care when you do it,
we just want it done,
all the problems left are South (yeah, typical cracker)
Go load up Litterati, photos and social,
not open source, citizen science
See two other sets, talk to both,
consider tools, stick, picker upper,
grabber, etc that might help but feeling sick,
worried sprayed, and eventally leave,
hoping to find time in the next few days.
