without connecting thru their app,

money than the device for the optional ANT+
USB dongle...

Heart Rate not included but may merge that with
Garmin Connect, their app/desktop software...
GPS, not included, maybe gets that from
the smartphone & app...
So basically, without the Bluetooth working
a very basic device, only limited functions...
Nice all colour display,
still learning how to get background lighting
to see it in the dark,
and chirps sometimes,
maybe too little activity, idk.
Water resistant to about 50M iirc.
Band locking turn thingie for clasp:
difficult to undo...
but other cheaper ones keep falling off.
Burned by Garmin again?
Expensive GPS device Edge 305?
GPSBabel stopped working
so maybe third time is a charm,
or burn me
