Introduction/Definition/etc
Depending upon what seems like Marketing,
a MultiCooker may include PressureCooking
functions, but not the other way around,
afaict...
WhatEver, some books on Pressure Cookers,
most books use the Instant Pot (tm elsewhere)
which i don't have, so will see
what happens when / if it doesn't work,
fails, etc...

Original Text
See Book Data
and Links for the Books
included in this collection...
Some meta data may show up here eventually,
as the n (number) is still small,
preconceptions/judgements might make it here,
but the MetaBreadBooks2019
went all over the place and
rather tangential, and introductory
so maybe conclusion could have more of that?
Body might be the meat/ flesh
and Appetizers the Intro
Dessert the Conclusion,
to use food analogies...
Modified Text
What's Missing?
Unbiased information about other brands?
An OpenPressureCooker
built on OpenHardware Principles
of Freedom, similar to Open Source
Software...
What Can Be Found?
Marketing, brand loyalty,
closed systems, proprietaryness (sp?),
patents, abuse, monopoly,

How To Analyze?
Lenses
Noob
Well, learning the capabilities,
probably better before you buy/
acquire one, but starting point
one is better than none, perhaps,
don't get hurt, a lot of warnings/
risk of burning yourself,
so learn where the steam exits,
what is hot, what isn't
and not clog the vent holes
by cooking on the vorboden (sp?) /
forbidden list...
Don't fill too much
and all sorts of negatives,
which is probably why people don't
like reading about it...
i cooked eggs the first one,
clear liquid, water 1Cup to fill below
inserted rack, enough eggs to fill
the rack, some propped up,
some didn't and timing, if there is a setting,
but the
AldiAmbiano9In1ProgrammablePressureCooker2019
FAILED by Error 1 in the first 2 minutes
or so, (reading about it,
have to return, as waiting 20 mins
start over, and all the jazz,
E1 was have to send back,
but wanted to keep the pot,
for getting another base,
replacement pot, dishwasher/
fridge, spare parts, etc)
did the 2 minutes thing too many
times, but cooked it, just doesn't work,
well, to spec, so defective,
year+ warranty but return to store,
shipping costs, etc...
even at $60
supposedly new...(
and never worked right,
AldiAmbianoPressureCooker2019
ran, and learning on that...
maybe til holiday time this fall,
late fall, early winder and get another
stainless steel compatible 8 Qt one,
instead of 6 qt Teflon (tm elsewhere)
or similar coated...
Likely wore out by then, and need a seal
or something, with heavy use...
Kids
Kids is relative, too young likely for pressure
cookers, high power, high temp,
steam, and other risks, but responsible,
teenagers, with supervising,
at least starting out,
maybe already in home econ classes, etc...
Luddites (sp?)
Well the whole electricity thing is a problem
for Amish, Mennonite a little more lax,
and well, just anti-tech people may
be scared off, don't like the MicroController
front, and if explained and/or when get to
control by smartphone, monitoring that way too,
shut off remotely, start up, adjust, etc,
then maybe, more friendly interface...
Besides can't really can with these,
Instant Pot lower end models,
so back to old school stove top
ones, which go higher in temp...
So low tech/ anti tech there is some
learning, new is not always good,
marketing usually says otherwise,
learning curve and bleeding edge,
etc...
/OldFart
GrandParents
Well, we are busy people
too, probably had or seen pressure
cookers in the past,
before electric ones,
maybe canning ,but moved away from that,
will see, let the kids play first,
we get theme handed down/ back
eventually...
Elders
Well, similar for GrandParents above
and other categories, but old than whom?
Who you calling Old?
Watch that 3 letter word, kid...
DisAbled
Some limitations,
myself the slow cooking too slow,
the need to cook stuff to sterilize,
maybe some learning,
and geeky positives, so other
stuff there...
Others, say visibility,
learning difficulties, and some supervision/
learning, write up a guide
specific to certain diagnoses,
OCD for instance might not like all the parts
to clean, and difficulty cleaning the lid,
etc,compared to BreadMakers
which don't steam all the way up there
with particles not over flow, clogging
problems, etc...
OCD
combined with above,
stepped on a crack...
Oops
BusyPeople
Quicker than Slow Cookers,
by a lot, but combining prep,
cleaning and cool down times,
might be similar, just unattended
for a lot longer than most...
Idiots
Well, might not be able to read,
and/or missing implications, etc
so some learning the hard way,
focus on safety, and answer questions,
as able?
Investors
Corning or whatever,
glass besides scratching might
be better for the inner pot,
get the weight down,
and other issues...
Assuming not trying to kill off
competition...
Inventors
Open Hardware versions
likely needed, and could be
an ever bigger hit than the popular,
and what to do with all the old ones,
knock offs, etc, so hacking those,
and generalizing from the false
starts/ mis start/ failed to starts,
etc...
Patent Attorneys
IANAL
so there...
DisClaim YourSelf...
GeneralPublic
All the marketing,
might be good
right?
What of the law suits?
Burns, etc?
Getting so you can't even
cook and eat anymore...
Assumptions
Faster is better
but at what risks?
Can the risks be enumerated?
Cost is a factor,
name brands and knockoffs,
and other industry issues,
is the AirFrying that important?
is that the new BreadMaker?
Now that PressureCookers
have pushed BreadMakers off the shelves,
mostly?
What's Next?

will do with this information

seems like it would go without saying/writing,
but not everyone gets the obvious/
common sense,
especially applied to others...
Conclusion
Summary of experience or similar
Besides marketing,
MultiCookers/ pressure cookers
somewhat automated may help in cooking,
if you can get beyond the marketing,
brand loyalty, and other crap,
and on to eating,
assumes you can "program"
which isn't really programming
just some settings,
no code involved,
more like operating modern machinery
say a radio, after the old fashioned dials,
and knobs, more digital,
less analog,
but i digress into tech...
For cooking, applying pressure
seems to make beans softer,
does it faster, but risks of hot steam
at greater temperatures,
added complexity,
cleaning issues especially with the lid,
seal, etc
and explosion,
but safety valves,
release valves, lid latches, and
other stuff probably help prevent that,
somewhat...
For my purposes, auto shutoff helps,
as take a nap, sleep, step out,
and it operates in an automated fashion
reaches some predetermined temperatures/
pressure for a specified time
(even if not made obvious to the user/cook)
and a cool down period,
and keep warm
auto off, hopefully done,
but have to open and try to find out,
so will see...
Recipes may help,
what can be cooked that way,
how long,
etc details may differ...
Altitude is one variation,
in your average cooking
and this is like the microwave
before that was available,
SteamPunk, perhaps,
but there you have it...
Maybe...
Discussion
A place for feedback on the page presented
What risks would you take for faster
food?
What qualities make food better?
What problems exist with steam,
temperature, and added complexity
of electronics in small personal
home cooking appliances?
Ever have Broasted Chicken (tm? elsewhere?)
Know what the mass chicken shops
and other fast food places do to your food
to make it quick, easy, and supposedly safe?
Why not just microwave everything?
Can it be done off grid?
What about manual pressure cookers,
are they worth the trouble?
Can you still find them?
What of the added cost of the latest batch
of Pressure Cookers?
Is there a shakedown in the market?
Corning/Pyrex? or similar bought the company
that does InstantPot, right?
What effect does that have?
Glass instead of metal treated pots?
What difference does the pot materials make?
Short term?
Long term?
Ever cook with ceramic?
Ever scratch glass?
Are there newer composites,
etc materials and blending of materials
/ fusion that makes cooking easier?
At what risks?
Ever have old school aluminum pots?
Are they flaking?
Is that the new lead paint problem?
If aluminum is bound in an oxide,
or similar is it as harmful,
say in possibly creating Alzhiemers (sp?)?
